Ever wonder who your true friends are? They're not necessarily the ones you might expect to take care of you when you really need it - they're just the ones who really care. :)

OMG! Cathie that is soooo sweet. Animals are so loving and kind. I love this story. :D

Sometimes when I get upset and cry my dog sees that I am crying and gets very worried about me and gets right up in my face and tires to make me feel better. He is a very sweet loving dog who really does love me alot. Animals are very special indeed.

It doesn't get much more heartwarming than that. I swear animals have an extra compassion gene. When I was mourning through the years, my late cat Foxy knew it, as he'd get extra affectionate towards me, and would barely leave me side. They know when they're needed. Wonderful story, Cat. :)

That is absolutely adorable. This kind of thing is why I love animals so much. They're so loyal, and loving. :)

^ For some reason, Jenny, it can't be copied, so I typed it out. I know, I know, I rock. ;) I love your avatar. A cat and a butterfly, you're all set. Put a purple collar on the cat, and you've got a triple play, lol.

An Eye on You

Cashew, my 14-year old yellow Lab, is blind and deaf. Her best friend is Libby, 7, a seeing-eye cat. Libby steers Cashew away from obstacles and leads her to her food. Every night she sleeps next to her. The only time they're apart is when we take Cashew out for a walk. Without this cat, we know Cashew would be lost and very, very lonely indeed. It's amazing but true: this is one animal who knows what needs to be done and does it day in and day out for her friend.

Cathie, can you please make the image larger so that the text will be bigger? I can't make out what it says.

I know Jenny, I felt badly about how I had to post. I had to make the image a little smaller in order to post it and I have to admit, I was too tired and lazy to re-type it.

Yes - Janice does rock! Thanks Janice. I was going to go back and transcribe it, but ended up falling alseep.

I'd like to think a bunch of us here are like these two. We know what needs to be done when another needs us and just do it. No questions asked. No words need be exchanged. I know I have my own "Libby's" in a few of you here. :)

Stop bumping up old threads, and I've shut you down for today. There's no need to post incessantly.
