Any women here that don't have pierced ears? I don't. I once did when I was little. I don't wear earrings.

Yes, I got my ears pierced for my 14th birthday. Then, when I was around 15/16 it became in fashion to have a second piercing in each earlobe. The first I had done professionally and it got infected a couple of times even though I had stainless bullets and kept them clean, etc., and then the 2nd set I just did myself with the old ice-cube and mattress needle deal and put any old earrings in. They never did get infected! lol Go figure!

I did have to have one surgically repaired because of stretching though. Darn 80s and big heavy earrings! ;)

Yes, three times in each ear.

I have an inner conch piercing in each ear (left was done in Jan 2007, right in Dec 2007).

My left ear has a helix piercing. Coming up on 9 years I've had it (August 2000).

My right ear has an industrial piercing. I just passed 4 years with it (Jan 2005).

Lastly but not least, both of my earlobes are stretched. Currently, I'm wearing size 2ga jewelry in it, about to go to size 0ga. The smaller the number, the bigger the jewelry will be. When people get their ears pierced, the jewelry is usually 18ga. My lobes have been pierced for almost 16 years, but it was in late 2007 that I decided to start stretching them. :)

I can provide pictures upon request. :)

Yes, I think I had them pierced when I was about 14. I had a second piercing when I was in my 30s, figured for diamond studs. It wasn't for me though. Jenny, you may have some guys posting here too.

Nope. I still wear clip ons or the old fashion screw on ones.

Yeah, but I don't really wear jewelry. If it makes me less of a woman, so be it.

They've been pierced since I was about a year old. Just one in each ear, but that's all I want. I wear earrings everyday, it's my must have jewelry. I feel weird without them.

I'm surprised that so many of you had your ears pierced, when you were only babies!

As for me, I both want pierced ears and not. I really like jewelry, but it would feel wrong to make holes in my body, that I wasn't born with. Yeah, it might sound a little bit weird, but when it comes down to it, I would probably never pierce my ears, even though it looks good. My sister just pierced her ears last year, and it looks so good on her. But unfortunately, she's had problems with it, because her ears wouldn't heal properly.

Got mine done when I was 20. Wasn't interested before. My sister was also pierced late, in high school. My mom never had hers done.

That's usually a standard helix piercing, if it's on the outer edge of your ear and I'm sure it is. :)

I was only 2 weeks old when I got my first (and only) piercings. I want a cartilage piercing in my right ear, but I haven't because I'm scared  .

I just have to ask... Why would you have your ears pierced, when you were only two weeks old?

A lot of Europeans (Italians, Greek, Portugese) will pierce the ears of a baby as early as possible. The old wives' tale about it not hurting as much the younger you are. It's b.s., but people still do it.

Frankly, I don't like seeing it on children that young.

Other than the belly button, I cringe at all other piercings (eyebrows, lips, ears, other than lobes, etc.)

I think its ok do get your childs ear pierced but only if they want to you shouldn't force them. Some customers i have had try and hold down their child and the kid is kicking and screaming, to me thats a sign they don't wanna do it. I always tell the parent i'm not going to pierce the child if they don't want me to. It's just earrings , it should be a personal choice if u want them not a torture session at Wal-Mart.

Yes, and that's why you should wait with piercing a children's ears until they're old enough to want to do it themselves. Babies are way too young to make such a choice, so they shouldn't have their ears pierced.

I'm glad I got them done when I was a baby. Got it out of the way. I would've had it done anyway. Besides, I think small earrings on babies and little kids is cute. I don't know, I guess I just grew up with it being a normal thing. Most of the girls in my family all got it done when they were very little. I almost find it strange to hear that people didn't do it until way into their teens.

Well, my sister didn't pierce her ears until she was thirtyfive, and I still haven't done it. I think you should be at least ten years old before you do it.

I had my ears pierced in my early 20's(I think). I don't know what I was thinking. To me, it was brutal. I was such a wimp, she did the one ear and I got so nauseous. It seemed to take forever to get up the courage to get the other ear done. I'm glad I got them done though, because I like wearing earrings and I think I look pretty good with them on!!;)

I've never had any interest in body piercing or tattoos. I also find piercing the ears of babies and young children quite disturbing. I could never do that to my child.

Getting a little off subject, but I don't know how anybody can't get tattooed. It's bad enough getting your ears pierced and that's just one swift poke(one L-O-N-G swift poke to me). To actually sit in a chair and endure that tattoo gun, well, you couldn't get me liquored up enough!!

I have one hole in each earlobe; I had them done when I was 12. I also got both ears pierced at the same time; that was the best way to do it for me because otherwise, I might still be walking around with only ear done! I don't wear earrings a lot, and when I do my ears hurt, but the holes are still there.

I agree, but I really don't know how anyone can get it done on the tops of their feet or the backs of their hands. OWWW!

I'm 25 and have never gotten my ears pierced (nor any other part of my body). I don't really wear jewelry, except for special occasions and then it's just a necklace. Even if I did get them pierced, they'd probably just close up!
