For once, I'm probably not jerking your chain with that title.

How I Met Your Mother co-creator Carter Bays tells me that the sitcom's central mystery is about to be solved. Or rather, resolved. At least kinda-sorta.

"At the end of the season, we will address the title of our show," reveals Bays, adding that the last four episodes will feature "big events in the lives of our characters -- specifically Ted (Josh Radnor). We're going to wrap up some things that have been left dangling."

Translation: I think the M-bomb's about to be dropped!

Bays wouldn't elaborate on the nature of the revelation (i.e. will the mom actually be ID'd?) or how it might figure into this season's cliffhanger. "But I will say at the very least that the season will end with a complete sentence," he teases. "We've left some sentence fragments dangling in past seasons, but this year, there will either be a period, a question mark or an exclamation point. We will be giving the audience that."

The only way they'd reveal the mother is if Carter Bays and Craig Thomas know the show was going to be cancelled. And I highly doubt CBS would go ahead and let them film a cliff-hanger finale if they knew they weren't saving it. CBS has more respect for their shows than that... usually, lol!

Plus, the show has already been given a fifth season as part of a syndication deal that was cut last Summer. And even if I'm wrong or what I've read is untrue, the show has become ratings gold. It built from Big Bang theory last night for the first time in a while.

A) The Show isn't going anywhere
B) We won't find the mother until the final season.

NO NO NO, this has come too soon. They should wait til the fanalie to revelve all of this stuff, this is what killed BTY! Bringing what should have been the series fanalie, (GRACIE LEARNING THAT CHUCK IS HER FARTHER) killed the show, in my opion!
