View Full Version : Lauri's Site
Smartboy 03-03-2009, 12:31 AM About an hour ago, I went to the Official Site of Lauri Hendler. I was so happy to see all of the recent people who had signed the Guestbook! It was great to see that there are so many people out there who admire this lovely little lady! Needless to say that I left my mark and told everyone there how happy I was. I would be very interested in what any of you think of what I wrote. In any event, the main reason that I am telling you guys this is that I have, pretty much, bleed dry whatever I can think of to stimulate some conversation about this wonderful sereis!
Marvo301 03-03-2009, 12:41 AM What's the URL for Lauri's site?
Smartboy 03-03-2009, 02:31 AM What I am about to post now, I attempted to post about a half an hour ago. For the past few days I have had quite a few problems on this site! Posting has been impossible and even getting into the site itself has been quite a challenge! Has anyone else had problems in the last day or so? In any event, I do not even know what URL stands for! If anyone out there would tell me, it would really take a load off of me mine! In any case, if you want to get into Lauri's Site, here is what you do: Start by typeing the name "Lauri Hendler" into your email system. Like with the names of most important people, you will get a long list of options. However, the one pertainting to her official site will probably be close to the top. Move you mouse to this selection and punch in. You will see a beatuful picture of her face and it will say to come on in! You will be glad you did!
Zoneboy 03-03-2009, 02:42 AM In computing, a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is a type of Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) that specifies where an identified resource is available and the mechanism for retrieving it. In popular usage and in many technical documents and verbal discussions it is often, imprecisely and confusingly, used as a synonym for uniform resource identifier. The confusion in usage stems from historically different interpretations of the semantics of the terms involved. In popular language, a URL is also referred to as a Web address.

Smartboy 03-04-2009, 10:28 PM In the second to last post, is that a picture of Lauri Hendler? If it is, she was a very quite little girl! Where did you find the picture? Was it from a movie or a TV show or what?

It's from her appearance on the TV series Lou Grant.

Your welcome. The Magnum PI pic must be not long before GAB.
Scoobiedoo30 03-05-2009, 11:00 PM Laura site looks great,
Smartboy 03-05-2009, 11:32 PM I think that it is interesting that so many of the parts that Lauri has played over the years have been that of a girl who wears glasses when she does not wear glasses in real life! Would anyone out there like to kick around some theories?

In between the last time that I posted here and the present, I went back to the site of Lauri Hendler. Sure enough, there was another post after the one that I left! I was so happy to see it and I told everyone there how happy I was! One thing that was mentioned in the other person's message was how good Lauri looks for her age. Well, as a lot of you probably know, I have posted a lot of messages on a lot of pages of this site regarding my fondness for older women. This includes babes who were already getting up there in years during the time that they appeared on "Gimme a Break!" One such thread that I started on this page is called "Sylvia's Butt". For those of you who do not know, the Sylvia that I was referring to was Paul's mother from "Mad About You". Are any of you fans of that sereis? In any event, after I post this message, I think that I will bring that thread to the top of the page!
greelywinger 03-09-2009, 10:05 PM Here's a clip of Lauri from the the 80s movie High School USA.

I remember this movie, but I didn't know she was in it.
Haven't seen it since it aired.

Smartboy 03-10-2009, 09:40 PM I just watched this clip from the movie. Thank you very much for posting it! I enjoyed it even though Lauri's part was not that big or significant. This is one more case in which she played the part of a girl wearing glasses! I am really curious as to why she so often gets picked to wear someone with glasses! I was in my early teens when I learned that she does not wear them in real life. Another fictional character who wore glasses was Roger Thomas from "What's Happening!!" In the recent past I learned that actor Earnist Thomas does not wear them in real life either.
