I know the front runners on most people's lists are probably Kobe, Lebron, and Wade, but in my opinion, no player has been more productive, or meant more to his team than Dwight Howard. The guy averages 20+ points per game, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks. With those numbers, it's no wonder they call him superman!! Everytime I see him play, I'm just astounded at what he can do. Along with the four guys I mentioned, I'd also put Chris Paul in my top five list, as he's also been quite phenomenal this year. Who is your guys' choice for MVP at this point in the season?

Even thought he hardly gets to play I'd say Manu Ginobili. If only Popavich would use him to the best of his ability he would be unstopable.

Manu isn't even the MVP of his own team, IMO- that's Tony Parker.

That's only because he is held back.

The MVP will be who ever has the best record at the end of the year between Kobe's team and Lebron's team.

I think people are seriously overlooking Dwayne Wade, who in my opinion is far above Kobe, and is right there with Lebron. If you look at Wade's numbers across the board this season, they've gone up dramatically in virtually every category this year, and he has been absolutely unstoppable as of late. People talk about how the players with the teams with the best records are always MVP, but that's not always the case. Kobe has an absolutely amazing team surrounding him, and Cleveland has some really good backup for Lebron like Mo Williams, and Ilgauskas among others. Wade is working with alot less. The amount of talent on his team is significantelly less than that of Cleveland and L.A., yet they're still number 4, or 5 in the East. People are also forgetting the fact that Miami only had 15 total wins last year. To go from that, to where they are now, is nothing short of amazing, and shows me that Wade should be a very serious candidate for MVP. Even though Lebron will most likely get it, I actually have Wade leading James by a little bit right now.

Who deserves MVP as opposed to who will win it are completely different topics. The person who DESERVES it the most is Dwyane Wade. He is putting up amazing numbers on a Miami team that is an average team at best. He is probably the best defensive guard in the NBA and he leads the league in scoring. I think he's averaging 3 SPG since the All-Star break. He has won a lot of games for the Heat where they would have easily lost if it weren't for Wade. The Heat will probably be #5 in the East compared to probably winning 30 games at best if he weren't playing.


As for who WILL win it, it will be LeBron James. LeBron is an amazing player himself. 28/8/7 is amazing, especially for a guy his size. He truly is a freak of nature. He is leading the Cavs to the best record in the East and his teammates are not that great either. His defense is getting better and better each year and he is becoming an icon.


Both players are great players. Although Dwyane Wade is the more deserving player of the two, LeBron James will win MVP and you can expect a Lakers/Cavs Finals matchup.
