Yes, I would have had Dave and Lisa get back together early in the fifth season and stay together for the remainder of the show. I find the Johnny Johnson character and original trilogy to be hilarious. But no, she and Johnny should not have gotten together and eventually married.

Maybe if Dave had gotten in an elevator with Lisa and passionately proposed to her, she would have dumped Johnny and married him, lol. That's of course a "Wings" reference.

Yeah, that could have happened. Then, Lisa and Johnny could have run off to Mexico to get a quick divorce without Dave knowing :lol:

I think they would have eventually reunited after Johnny went off to prison and Lisa came back to her senses. By her own admission she was only physically attracted to Johnny, whereas she genuinely loved Dave (even though their initial relationship was forged on a sex fling). Their love-hate relationship was particularly enjoyable when they were fighting, and much of the contemporary fan fiction of the day clearly favored the Dave/Lisa pairing. In my perfect world, the show would have continued for a sixth season, and Dave would have hooked up with Beth in response to Lisa leaving him for Johnny. But that's what fan fiction is for! :-)

Not really. I loved their on-again/off-again dynamic, but don't forget that Simms decided to drop the bombshell that they were together immediately; the whole arc of them playing into, then against eachother made it all the more enjoyable.
