When I saw the preview for Gran Torino a few months ago I was surprised to see Brian Haley. I said aloud, "Hey, it's Budd Bronski!" And nobody in our group (or row, I'm sure) knew who I was talking about. :)
Has he done much? I never really loved that character, but I don't think he was there long enough for the audience to warm to him. He did a good job in Gran Torino.

Good question. I know Tim, Steven, Tom, and Tony are still active, but where's the rest of the gang?

I don't know what Brian Haley is up to these days. Though whenever I see him in anything, I always think of Budd Bronski, lol. I know he was a regular on the short-lived "The Weird Al Show" back in 1997, because I have it on DVD. It was a kid's show and he played a super hero friend of Al's.
I also remember him from "Baby's Day Out" that movie, which I believe was before his run on "Wings." He played a babynapper, who ended up in a lot of slapstick situations, much like the burglars on "Home Alone."
My sister told me that before "Wings" he was a stand up comic, and she'd seen his act before on Comedy Central.
As far as Budd goes, I didn't have a problem with Brian Haley. It was mostly the writing for that character that was the problem.
I just watched the remake of "The Taking of Pelham 123" at the theater last night. Brian Haley is in the movie, playing the role of a police captain.
Budd Bronski lives!!

I noticed the same thing. I couldn't STAND the character Bronski. Not sure what the writers were trying to accomplish. Lowell couldn't be replaced, so perhaps they should have made the new mechanic a polar-opposite. Not that they tried to make Budd Lowell, but he was quirky, which Lowell DEFINITELY was.
Haley played a good role in Gran Torino.
