MICHAEL JACKSON has recorded more than 100 songs in secret - but is refusing to release the tracks until after his death, according to a biographer.
The Thriller singer has amassed a stack of tunes but only wants them to be heard by his children - Prince, 11, Paris Katherine, 10, and five-year-old Prince Michael II - after he dies, according to Ian Halperin, author of forthcoming book Unmasked, The Michael Jackson Story.
Halperin says, "I was astonished by the number of songs which have been held back.
"I was told that he will not let them come out now but wants to leave them for his kids, a very personal legacy to them."

You said it! :( I had almost forgotten about this thread and we obviously had no idea that he would die so soon afterwards.
Marvo301 06-27-2009, 09:39 PM Yikes, I think I'm going to learn a lesson from this and start being a lot more careful about what i say and what I post!
coffield3 06-27-2009, 10:20 PM Oh gosh! How spooky!

Holy crap, now I wish I hadn't made that joke!! :( I mean, who would have known a few months ago?? I don't know, like, bad karma. Do you think....maybe he knew something about when he was going to die??
This is just so bizarre and so sad. Me and one of my friends were watching a concert clip of him yesterday morning, and I was amazed, he was just TOO GOOD. He had these excellent moves, just sang so great. And I finally got it why people loved him for all these years, but now it was too late. He is gone,
but certainly won't be forgotten. He really was the greatest entertainer in all of pop and rock. Simply the best. He was deserving of the hype.

When I first read this thread, I thought that it was a new one, since I hadn't seen it before. Then I saw this:
Hurry up and die, Michael!! :D :joke:
and I thought "That's a horrible thing to say!" But then I realized that it was an older thread and I felt bad for thinking that when I read your response. I would have been the same way. I know what you meant when you made that comment though. You were just hoping the songs would be released and unfortunately that was the only way it was going to happen. I just found that interesting. It really is spooky though. Kind of like when you watch these interviews that people have done, talking about death, only you're watching them after the person has died. Somehow that makes those interviews that much sadder to me! :(

PS: Even though Michael is gone, you guys shouldn't beat yourselves up over things you've posted in the past if you mentioned him in an unflattering light. I've said plenty of terrible things and yes, I've regretted some of them, but it's just human nature to say what we feel at the time. Funny how when someone dies, the words seem harsher, doesn't it? Should be the other way around, really since the person is alive and aware of things that are said.

I know exactly what you mean. Watching all these clips and specials, the man had musical talent and then some. I'd forgotten how talented he really was. :(
