I am watching the marathon on Hallmark. It's different from Lifetime's episodes. They keep scenes that Lifetime, cut, cut scenes that Lifetime kept in. They are using the original themes, including season 1 theme. It's a nice change, and I hope that Hallmark keeps it instead of it being killed in 3 weeks. I have them all uncut on DVD, but for those who don't, it's a nice change.

the golden girls was great except for one thing. bea arthur. shes just an overbearing, bossy, dyke, who in my opinion the show could have done without. she constantly looked at the other girls boobs, and butts, and always had her hands on the other women. if thats not being a lesbian then i dont know what is. it was really pathetic when she tried to be femminine. i lost respect for the men on the show that kissed her. they must have really been hard up for work. dick van dyke, and others have lowered their standards by appearing on that show with that bull dyke. i thought it was a bad idea to cancel the show when the dyke left. she shouldnt have been on that show to begin with. there are plenty of other women who would have been perfect for the part. the best actress on that show was estelle getty. her passing was a great loss. she made the show. betty white and rue mcclanahan were good for the show as well. i still watch the show but that dyke really makes me sick. she was disgusting on maude, all in the family, and any other show she was on.

I just posted about this. I think Hallmark is doing a better job of editting the episodes. I have some of the DVDs too so I can tell what is being cut out. I also liked how they were using the original opening theme.

Lifetime would cut out lines and you could tell how character lines were abruptly cut off and the camera would shift.

The We TV channel will also have Golden Girls starting Monday, March 16th. I wonder how their episodes will be editted.

Isn't it interesting the different scenes the networks cut. It would seem there is no set rule for what is deemed to be not worth the air time. However after purchasing the entire season of a popular sit-com from the 70's, I can't bring myself to watch these chopped up poorly edited programs on cable / satellite any longer.

So they're using the FULL version of the theme tune and the original end credits? (Which means we'll get to see end credit gags, I know there was at least one...I am a new GG rediscoverer, BTW, so not sure how many times they did that) It sounds to me like the move to Hallmark is a GOOD thing indeed. Except that now I can't see the show as I don't get it. BUT...it's coming to WE too? REALLY????? Now that I do have!

Telltale sign: is the Buena Vista logo still at the end? Or has it been updated with (I think) Disney-ABC? Which would suggest new prints?

I have all the seasons on DVD, but I watched most of it yesterday too. Starting March 16, they're also going to be on the WE channel, so we'll get to see even more of the Girls.

I'm wondering if either channel will show any Golden Palace eps.

it was nice to see the original theme song back on the episodes. too bad the end credits were squished to the side--a bad habit of many channels.

I think The only way we will see The Golden Palace's is when The Golden Place's comes out on DVD.

Disney doesn't seem to be in any hurry of putting out Golden Palace.

Disney doesn't seem to be in any hurry of putting out Golden Palace.

They are never in a hurry to put out short lived sequels. I'm still waiting for The Ropers and Three's a Crowd to come out on DVD.
