Does anybody like to read or checkout library books? I like to read library books since I work at the library. Occasionally, If I see anything interesting I will check out that book. I like to read the non-fiction books.

I use to go to the library all the time, but lately I've gotten lazy in that area. Now, I usually just read books that are given to me, and recommended by others. I really should start going back to the library though, since I've been doing alot more reading lately.

The library rocks! I'll never forget the first time I saw VHSs there. And then later on DVDs too. What a wonderful invention the library is. No wonder Ben Franklin is on the $100 bill!

I need to make it a habit of going to the library instead of the bookstore more often. Books, even paperbacks, are geeting too expensive.

I love the library, they are so usefull, and since I cant always afford to buy books, the library has stuff for free. Just wish I had more time to read.

I also like to use the internet at the library too. I enjoy reading the magazines too. My favorite magazine to read at the library is People magazine.

Plus you're not stuck with it if you don't like it.

I used to, but the local library doesn't seem to have current releases anymore or you have to wait months to read them. I used to read more when I was younger, but I've sort of lost interest.

I've been reading A LOT lately, so the library has become a familiar haunt. Lol. The only problem I have is getting the books back on time!

Between the age of 13-16 I practically lived at my local library.

I haven't been there for a long time. I intend to get around to visiting it again. Right now, I have quite a few books on the go so don't need to check any more out of the library.

Been there!... or, my mom has really. So many times she's had to pay that fine.

I check out library books on occasion... usually for school projects, etc. I have such a big school load this semester that when I'm off I tend to do other things besides reading.:)

At our library we have something called MelCat. What that is is through the library here we can search MelCat for books, CDs and videos that the local library dosent have, and check them out through MelCat. You get an email or phone call when what you checked out has arrived. Its pretty cool as you can tell. Does anybody have anything like this at their library??

That would be called an interlibrary loan system and yep, my library has that. It's networked with other libraries in my area... not sure if mine has a statewide system, but it is cool nonetheless! They're definitely a blessing. :)
