Please explain in simple terms if you know how. Do I need to download a program or buy software? Please help!

It's very simple, Another good one is snagit but they're free version is only good for 30 days.

Power DVD, but I notice that Power DVD sometimes has trouble getting clear caps and they more often than not come out blurry. I like the freeware player Maximus because it rips the image directly from the source with no flitering or blurring, but it doesn't work with Vista.

I use VLC media player. Works fine for me.
