I think Roommates is going to be a grate Sitcom for ABC Family

Looks a little bit like Big Bang Theory-meets-What I Like About You.

Reminds me of "Saved by the Bell - The College Years" and we all know how long that lasted!

This should get good series premiere numbers thanks to the season finale of Secret Life. Sure, it will fall the following week, but this will appeal to the audience that ABC Family is targeting.

Yeah, if you think about it ABC Family doesnt really have any sitcoms, only dramadies really so i think this is a good addition to their line up. And i agree that the premiere will get good ratings cause of the Secret Life finale but i think it will appeal to a slightly different, maybe wider audience then Secret Life, more early 20s/recent college grads...

Good comparison to the Big Bang Theory, i also got How I Met Your Mother from the commercial, and i do see the SBTB College Years comparison-but in a good way, i loved anything and everything SBTB related.

I like the looks of it and the first thing I thought of after seeing the promo was Big Bang Theory and agree with the other comparisons as well. I'm going to watch it online once it comes up since I don't get ABC Family.

In general, I find ABC Family's shows of recent years to be of very good quality. In my opinion, they could be better than the CW if they had a few more original shows.

I watched the show and LOVED IT! it was very funny, it reminded me of some of those old UPN/WB shows of the 1990's but of much higher quality. Tamera Mowry was excelent in this episode and did the best work of her entire career. The entire cast was appealling and the comedy funny and it definetly fits the ABCFamily brand. I thought the guy playing the ex-boyfriend of the main girl was wicked good looking. This show is the perfect fit for cable and i think wouldn't be a big hit elsewhere on TV. maybe CBS, but it's probrally not refined enough for CBS. it's a good show though.

I loved it too! Definitely agree about Tamera Mowry, i like that she has a bit of an attitude, its a nice change since shes known for being a child star... But i think the interaction between the two male leads might be my favorite thing about the show thus far...definitely watching next week!

Tamera Mowry completely did it for me, though. She was fantastic in this show - hopefully, we'll get to see more of her in the future.

But, that's not so hot, considering it's leadin, Secret Life, had:

- 4.493 million viewers
- 2.7/4 HH
- 1.5/4 A18-49
- 2.0/6 A18-34

That's a HUGE drop from the lead-in. But, if ABC Family wants to have more sitcoms, they should be patient. It could go down quite a lot next week, though, especially with Greek as a lead-in (which, if you remember last season, was averaging below 1 million viewers). Hopefully it doesn't, though, because this is a good show.

i watched it and it was pretty darn good. I loved it and will continue to watch it.

I watched it was funny and it is good to see Tamera Mowry Back on TV.

I think ABC Family will stick with it, this is their first foray into sitcoms so it might take a bit to catch on..

no I did not noticed The Chemistry between Mark and Tamera.

Ratings were not too good. It needs to stay around 1.5 million to stay on the air and next week it won't have Secret Life as a lead-in.

I did, and I agree. This is turning out to be a good show. With Surviving Suburbia next week, my Monday nights will be perfect! I wonder how ratings held up . . .

All 3 shows did terrible. It makes me wonder why Kyle XY, which was doing slightly better, was cancelled, but Greek hasn't been yet. Too bad for Roommates - it's a good show, but it looks to be in danger after only 2 episodes.

I liked the second episode as much as i liked the first one, if not better. the cast really works well together, especially the two guys.

440,000 viewers is not going to cut it. They need to swap the sitcoms and Greek. Maybe have That '70s Show leading into Roommates would be better.

Yeah agreed about the cast, i like the two guys alot too but i think my favorite dynamic is Mark and Hope.. I like how their relationship is kinda argumentative in a teasing way.. i feel like Katie kind of stands there when they're talking and is just like "huh?'

That would be interesting to see. Maybe airing against Two and a Half Men is hurting the show. Airing at 8pm would probably be better.

I liked mondays alot too! I was laughing really hard at Thom's accent and i thought it was really funny how James had known about Hopes job all along and had just kept walking by the coffee shop to see her freak out, I think he and Hope are my favorite characters.... Looking forward to Monday's episode!

So after Monday's episode i definitely think Hope and Mark will end up together eventually... She obviously enjoyed the kiss cause she let on that he was a good kisser. I kinda want Katie with James, anyone agree? I dunno, i just feel like they would be better together than Mark and Katie
