The seventh and final season of “Gilmore Girls” is coming to ABC Family.
The network has acquired the rights from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution to rebroadcast the season, beginning in June.
The network already has cable rights to the first six seasons, completing its “Gilmore Girls” collection with all 153 episodes.

YAY, it's about time. I was wondering when they would finally get the last season. It's not my most favorite season but I was getting tired of going from season 6 back to season 1. And even though I have them all on DVD it's still fun to watch it all the way thorugh on live tv.
That is good news. Sure took them long enough.

I want to know why ABC Family HD doesn't show them in HD?! If you can go back and restore shows from the 90's like Seinfeld (on TBSHD) then why not a show that's even newer? I know that the 90's sitcoms are not *true* HD, but they still look much better than in their original format.
Seasons 6 & 7 of GG were in HD (maybe 5 too), so ABCF-HD needs to get with the program. Maybe now that they have all seven seasons they will. Or not...and I'll continue to gripe about it. :D

I thought Soapnet had the rights to the whole show, but I guess not.
