I wonder if anyone else has noticed this, or if I am imagining it......
In the opening credits to the Odd Couple, there is a scene with people walking down the street, and a bus goes by with a Newport Cigarette ad on the back. The bottom of the ad is blocked out by someone carrying an umbrella and people's hats as they walk by - but if you know Newport ads, the tops of the letters are enough to let you know what it is.
All of a sudden, when WWME started showing the Odd Couple in Chicago again recently, that ad on the bus is completely blocked out. When the bus goes by, it's like the ad is covered by a sheet - much like it would be if they really covered an ad like that in real life !
