View Full Version : Brieanna, "South Central" is nothing but GHETTO GARBAGE, this is not my type of Show
TVFactFan 02-22-2009, 10:24 PM The Mother is always YELLING and SCREAMING, the Oldest son is nothing but a HOODLUM and has no interest in higher education just the GANGSTA LIFESTYLE. The little sister is LOUD and GHETTO and reminds me of a 1990 version of DEE from what's happening. The Oldest Son has GHETTO FRIENDS and walks around carrying a gun. I see why this piece of sh*T as$$ show was cancelled, it's GHETTO and DEPRESSING-lol
TOO DRAMATIC!!!

It's called South Central, life in the ghetto. Everything can't be roses and lollipops. I'm enjoying it, this is taking me back.

Yes she can. I remember the first time I heard her singing was on the 1986 christmas episode of "Amen" back in 1988. I did not know that it was her untill later. She did so well.

Adding a show to the regular lineup with only 13 eps????
Pavan 03-23-2009, 02:52 PM Only twice a week and it won't be for long, as you saw the same thing with Where I Live.

GARFIELDKOOL 05-16-2009, 10:06 AM I actually enjoyed it. I only saw it about 2-3 times. Too bad it didn't last longer. This was the 90s, and Black ghetto movies were in and doing good at the box office. So I guess they tried to bring it to TV. I looked at it as the 90s version of Good Times. Paula Kelly(Uptown Saturday Night, Sanford and Son, Good Times, Women Of Brewster Place) played the neighbor. I do remember that.

It was not the 90's version of Good Times because Good Times involved a Two Parent Family who lived in the Ghetto, not a single parent family with a HOODLUM SON

Hoodlum? He wasn't really a hoodlum. Also if you remember on GT's Flo did become a single parent. South Central was a good show that dealt with real issues.

Someone who walks around with a GUN and Uses Slang is not a HOODLUM?

He only carried a gun twice and that was because he was jumped on the bus and threaten, also his brother had just been killed so you really can't blame the boy for being scared. I don't think that he was a hoodlum, a hoodlum is someone who goes around causing havoc, I don't remember Andre really causing any trouble.

J.J. was jive-talking, was in a gang, and was uneducated. I know he was goofy and the Larenz Tate character wasn't, but that's my take.

Don't forget JJ and his "Finding" things

J.J was a Clown, Not Very Intelligent, and was only in a gang because he was forced to be in one. Far from a Hoodlum
