thong underwear- Some women I know swear by it. I bought a pair once and at the end of the day, I threw them in the trash. They were so freakin' uncomfortable! Give me ol' grannie panties any day. At least they don't give me a wedgie.

murder mysteries- I just don't get what people find so entertaining about watching or reading about people getting killed and how the police find out whodunit. I don't like the real crime stories either. I think they glorify the killers and forget about the victims.

horror movies- Same as above. What's so entertaining about people getting tortured and even killed? And people find sex and nudity offensive

New York Yankees- The Red Sox are much, much better and we've won two more World Series than they have this century :D

Science Fiction/fantasy- Give me realistic fiction any day, especially a nice comedy.

Reality TV. Self explanatory.

it truly astounds me that anyone can even stand listening to today's pop-punk/emo music...fall out boy, panic at the disco, my chemical romance. i swear that genre is categorized by noisy, high-pitched electric guitar riffs with an obnoxiously untrained vocalist breaking every rule of proper singing technique. when i say that kind of music is about as painful on the ears as a fire alarm, i'm being sincere, not rhetorical. it's just an absolute abomination.

I agree with all... except maybe murder mysteries:D

football-why is that entertaining?... especially the "Super Bowl". I've tried watching football many times... and I just don't see the joy of it.

texting-cell phones are fine with me! Texting... is worthless, costs money, and you really can't even say everything you want to because it takes so damn long!

CIGARETTES-many people I know find it sexy... is lung cancer sexy?!?

drinking-I don't understand it at all. Don't get me wrong... having a couple drinks is ok, I guess... but a few too many (enough to start having fun) I think is ridiculous... those poor people just look stupid.

tanning- again, this has been proven dangerous! Why would anyone risk getting skin cancer just to have slightly darker skin is beyond me... I think pale skin is just as pretty.

big boobs- most likely a man thing... but if anyone can explain to me why bigger is better in the chest, please do.

That's all for now... but more to come, I'm sure!:)
P.S. I don't want to offend anyone who takes part in/enjoys these things... this is strictly my dislikes.;)

Juice - only drink it if it's fresh squeezed and vegetable only not fruit

Milk - almond, rice and soy only, Keep that nasty dairy crap away from me

Water - bottled or filtered only and I can't drink that unless it's mixed with Crystal Light

Lemonade - love it but now has to be made with a sugar substitute

Milkshakes - I make my own using dairy-free milk and dairy and sugar-free ice cream and there is very little difference in the taste.

Sorry, I'll admit that there are some talented singers out there but when country radio shoved the legends under the door and concentrated on these wannabes my blood pressure went into overdrive. Shania and Faith I can tolerate to some degree but my favorite female singer of today is Martina McBride. I have to say though that I have never understood the appeal Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley or Keith Urban. The only male singer of today that even comes close to the legends is George Strait.

The sad thing is that people like Martina are now considered the "veterans" of country music and the airplay continues to decrease. The fact that she has a single in top 20 right now is even surprising. It's sad that people like Martina, Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, Sara Evans, Pam Tillis, etc. are being put on the back burner for the likes of Carrie and Miranda Lambert.

I don't listen to country radio much anymore but what you've said doesn't shock me any, That's what happened to the singers I like, The older they got the less they were played until finally the only way they were played was if they teamed up with one of the current popular artists. Willie Nelson hasn't done squat as a solo performer since 1982's "Alway's On My Mind" but he's managed to stay on life-support by riding the coattails of Toby Keith, Lee Ann Womack and others. Loretta Lynn was enjoying retirement and had no plans of a comeback until Jack White of the Whitestripes coaxed her out of it and produced her critically acclaimed cd VanLear Rose. Their duet Portland Oregon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XK5D8nWADTQ) shocked many of their fans but was a stroke of genius thanks to Jack White.

I've been trying to get into Country and I'm just not feeling 1989-present Country because it sounds way too much like Bluegrass and I'm getting sick of every frickin' singer trying to put on a Southern accent when they sing. Now, if you give me some 1970s or 1980s Country, a lot of that sounds similar to the Corporate Rock of the day and not like twangy 90s-2000s Bluegrass Country at all, the Southern Fried Rock time period was awesome.

Lee Ann Womack is another artist who gets ignored these days. Though, her last single, Last Call, has been on the charts for months, but never reaching the top 10. Her last album was easily the best country album of 2008, but received little recognition. I love Loretta, and she completely deserved winning the Grammy for Country Album of the Year for Van Lear Rose. She still tours a bunch every year, and still puts on very entertaining shows.

Country Music - seriously, it may be popular, but it grates on my nerves sooo bad. There are a few decent songs, but most of it all sounds the same and it's not good.

Today's Hits - I was looking at the Billboard chart a week ago or something, and it was all crap. Today's music just sucks ass...you seriously don't have to have any talent to "sing" popular music today.

American Idol - UGH. I have a serious hatred of it. It's so annoying. You can't really take it seriously as a singing contest when one of the judges is Paula Abdul.

Apple - the computers, the ipods, the iwhatever else. I hate their products.

Coffee - puke:

Heavy Drinking - yeah, way to waste money. Just puke the cash into the toilet and save time. Plus, I think alcohol tastes like ****, so I don't even do it casually.

Smoking - WHY DO PEOPLE STILL START SMOKING? Seriously, nowadays, anyone who starts is an idiot.

Anything on ABC. You'd think the TV sun rose and fell in Grey's Anatomy. ohno:

- celebrities themselves. the american culture is so celeb. obsessed. especially people who don't deserve celebrity - paris hilton/kim kardashian even octumom. i stopped buying all the mags i used to buy religously. my train of thought is: i care as much about celebrities as they care about me.

- expensive beauty products. i don't mind the basics - blush/lipstick/mascara etc. but to buy those expensive "anti-aging" creams and miracle creams! waste of money!theres thousands out there w/ promises of prolonged youth. nothing will stop aging! this also goes along w/ the beauty/weight obsession i think the country has.

- myspace/facebook - don't understand why you need profiles on these to keep in touch? thats why they invented phones/cellphones/email on top of it, i find them to be dangerous having God knows what weirdo finding info. about you.

- expensive purses - a $20 bag looks just as good and holds just as much and gets just as many compliments.

I do not understand that one myself. My brother Marc's wife Michelle (my sister-in-law) loves that series, and she has the first season's worth of it on DVD. I have never been a fan, and I will never be one, not only because of its utterly stupid opening theme ("I'll Be There For You"...seriously?!), but because of the general format of the series, which gets a huge thumbs-down from me.:thumbsdow

First, I agree with you definitely about "American Idol." I have always hated that, not only because (at least from what I've heard about it) the genuinely good contestants usually get the shaft, but also because the terrible acts have more of a chance of winning.
