This Is Life

This show centers around three long-time best friends sharing a Chicago studio loft apartment together. Besides being friends, they have their share of complications: they are one straight man, one gay man, and one straight girl living all under one roof. The three friends are none other than Greg Allen (Josh Cooke), Scott McBride (Todd Grinnell), and Kristy Raynier (Molly Stanton). Greg Allen, the straight one, is a 28-year-old easygoing, level-headed radio DJ who hosts his own on-air talk show. Scott McBride, the gay one, is a 28-year-old high-maintenance successful magazine columnist for "Chicago Men's Magazine". Kristy Raynier, the resident female, is a 28-year-old gorgeous yet ditzy beautician and aspiring model/actress. Greg, Scott, and Kristy have remained friends since elementary school, and have a lot of similarities yet at the same time a lot of differences. The trio hangout with and are often joined by Kristy's flaky yet equally ditzy younger sister, Melanie Raynier (Anna Faris), and Greg's outspoken and loud party-girl girlfriend, Tara Greene (Busy Philipps). Also, to add frustrations and drama into the guys's lives, Greg's all-around-nice-guy, long-widowered dad, Bill Allen (Treat Williams) has recently began dating Scott's locally-famous romance novelist and four-time divorcee mom, Patsy McBride (Wendie Malick), which leaves the best friends with mixed emotions about the union of his dad and his mom. Watch how the trio of BFFs and their friends handle the trials and tribulations of life in general, work, finances, relationships, dating, friends, family, sex, and many other aspects of everyday life.

Though the couple ends up having the time of their lives, little does the couple know that they were caught on security camera and viewed by Steve and a few other co-workers. Meanwhile, Kristy learns Scott is dating his executive assistant, Michael (Chris Lowell).

Kristy becomes hurt when Scott tells her he doesn't know he can trust her anymore.

Ep8: Crazy Cousins:
Tara gets a surprise visit from her crazy, basketcase cousin, Mindy (Tara Reid) who ends up needing a place to crash for a few nights, so Tara lets her sleep on her couch. Tara becomes hysterical and leaves in a huff, causing Greg to realize what happened and goes after her, leaving Mindy satisfied with a mischevious grin on her face. Elsewhere, Kristy comes to terms with living with Scott again even after he more-or-less told her off.
