Some of these Indian actresses are the most beautiful women I've ever seen! Like AISHWARYA RAI. She wears blue contacts that just make her look incredible. I think the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on. If anyone could make me play for the other team, it would be this gal. :lol:

She's the female lead in Slumdog Millionaire. You'll be hearing a lot more of her since that movie now looks like it's the fav for the Oscar - it won at the Globes, SAGS, Toronto Film Festival - you name it. Looks like a great movie - I can't wait to see it.

That whole movie has a totally feel good thing to it - came out of nowhere, was the lowest budget movie going, took it's actors directly from the slums of Mumbai and it's a HUGE hit.

I think she's going to give the Indian actress I love there a good run for her money.

Funny how 30 years ago the west looked down on the east in so many ways and now we're adapting eastern ideas, beauty treatments, etc. and especially the exotic beauty of so many of them. Nothing against blondes, but to me, it's about time we saw the beauty in more "exotic" races.

lol, I meant as in glorifying them in the media... I mean, just look at the kinds of girls the media is paying attention to these days. I think it's interesting that Frieda is a great deal of attention for this movie.

Yah, if anything, it's only the media that push the Lindsays, Britneys, Pamelas etc.. There are millions of truly beautiful highly intelligent women out there. Unfortunately the media doesn't like shining the light on them usually.

Exactly... but why, I wonder? If the media pushed the smart and beautiful women... wouldn't today's teenage girls turn out better? Again, there are many smart and lovely teenage girls out there... but, a lot of gals are being influenced by the Lindsays, Britneys, etc... and that can't be a good thing!:eek:

Quite frankly because I think most men are very intimidated by a super beautiful smart woman so they go after the ones most guys relate to. It's the same reason that smart women downplayed their intelligence in Hollywood for years. Turns how that Marilyn Monroe was actually very smart and into things you'd really be surprised about but they kept that quiet and had her play the dumb blonde routine. It was a big part of her frustration and getting into drugs because she wasn't being given the parts she really wanted - until the Misfits and that unfortunately was at the end of her tragic life.
