Was Jack suddenly to good for the Beagle once he got his own restarunt?-lol

I never noticed that. What was the last season they showed the Beage? Do you even know the very last episode they showed it?

season 7 or in the very beginning of season 8
Big3sCompanyFan 02-20-2009, 10:29 PM Actually you CAN solve this mystery. Just contact the producer of TC for seasons 7 and 8 and either he could tell or get you in touch with the writers IF he wants to do all that for a total stranger. LOL!
Unless you have some Hollywood connections, do you?
BTW, Kurt Warner used to committ a LOT of turnovers, fumbles and interceptions, but he did have a great year this year and the Cards shocked everyone because I thought Carolina would beat them for sure!
steevo 02-21-2009, 05:03 AM Maybe Jack's Bistro ran the pub out of business. :D
janet42 02-21-2009, 10:07 AM They were at the Regal Beagle in the 8th season episode "Jack Takes Off". I believe that was the last episode the roommates were in the Regal Begal, because except for the episode: "Forget Me Not" the following episodes dealt with Janet's marriage and Jack meeting Vickie.

Think about it. You are running your own restaurant. Would you have time to go and suck back a few beers and hope to get lucky? Once we saw Jack at his bistro, he was an entirely different person. He didn't have time to hang out much or date. He seemed stressed at times, because he had more responsibilities.

The girls stopped going too-lol
catlover79 02-22-2009, 09:40 PM I loved the Regal Beagle - wouldn't mind hanging out there myself, actually.
SlayerShel 02-23-2009, 07:46 AM Interesting point, I never noticed before the lack of the Regal Beagle in later seasons. Now that I think about it, you are right.
Heidi Dawn 02-23-2009, 03:46 PM Think of it this way - why would Jack's friends support the competition instead of Jack's own business. If I had a friend who happened to own a restaurant, I would be supporting their business instead of the competition, that's what loyal friends do.

But we get the impression that the Reagle Beagle is very close by, just walking distance and the bistro is at least a little further off. There's no reason why Jack couldn't go there on a weekend, evening, or day off to kick it and have a couple beers or drinks.
Maybe he and the girls did go there but it was not part of the storyline so thye never showed it on tv. LOL!
dav4463 07-26-2009, 01:27 AM They still went there! C'mon, you just don't stop going to a pick-up joint like that. It just wasn't in the storyline. I'm sure of this!
We hardly ever saw them at a grocery store or convenience store either, but you know they went. We never saw them at a Walmart type store either, but you know they went sometimes. We never saw them at a fast food place, but you know they hit McDonald's or Jack in the Box on occasion.
Everbody does!

They were at Jack's Bistro more than the Beagle
Schmoopie 07-26-2009, 02:12 AM Interesting point. I never noticed that before, but you're right. Maybe they figured their viewers wouldn't notice either, but I guess they didn't count on the members of Sitcoms Online! It's too bad that someone can't ask John Ritter this very question. I can just see him LOL-ing when he's asked. He'd get a big kick out of it, I'm sure. Maybe if I ever get to meet his son, Jason I'll ask him what he thinks the reason is. I'm sure he's seen "Three's Company"! Not likely that I'll even get to meet him, but I did get to meet John Ritter's wife. One of the nicest people I've ever met!!!

IloveJack 07-27-2009, 01:19 AM It's not that they stopped going to the Reagle Beagle, but once Jack got his restaurant the writers focused most storylines on that. Jack having his own restaurant gave birth to new possibilities and had more potential for comedic situations than the RB. And I wouldn't say the RB was competition for Jack's Bistro. Jack's restaurant served French food, was more serious and posh while the RB was a fun place that had fries, hamburgers and beers.

I felt the bistro could have been showed more during closing time-lol

They could've had more storylines using Jack's Bistro. I always felt they could've squeezed out just one last season of TC if they really tried.

When you run your own restaurant, you don't have weekends, evenings or days off because weekends and evenings is when you do your most business.
Even if you close the restaurant one day a week, you're still doing stuff related to the business (invoicing, planning menus, etc).

Well that still doesn't explain why Janet and terri couldn't go-lol
spindoc932 12-04-2009, 02:52 PM I think Jack, like everyone else, just stopped going to bars as much as he hit his lates 20s and early 30s..
TVFactFan 12-05-2009, 12:13 AM I think Jack, like everyone else, just stopped going to bars as much as he hit his lates 20s and early 30s..
Yeah that can be true too.
stella 12-16-2009, 05:20 PM They were at the Regal Beagle in the 8th season episode "Jack Takes Off".
Agreed. In 8th season episode "Jack Takes Off", there an extensive scene in which Jack, Larry, and the girls all appear in the Regal Beagle. That's when Larry sells Jack's nude picture to the Beagle, and everyone sees it.
Of note, the bartender in that episode isn't the two regulars Jim and Mike.
jehobden 01-28-2010, 03:17 AM Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember seeing Janet at the Regal Beagle another time in Season 8 in the episode "Hearing Is Believing". It's the last ep that featured Macon McCalman as her dad, and there was a woman who was a therapist, and Janet split up her name in an unfortunate way. Since she was stressed out, Janet went to the Regal Beagle to drown her sorrows in root beer & french fries. She certainly couldn't get that kind of cuisine at Jack's Bistro!
Smartboy 01-28-2010, 03:47 AM One thing that I was never able to figure out is why the bartender give her a plastic cup of ketchup being that there was already a bottle of ketchup on the table! Maybe it was sort of like a belt and suspenders!

That plastic cup was given to put the ketchup IN dummy!! :D

In the first place, venting your frustration by calling anyone a dummy is not the purpose of these boards! That is what therapy groups and punching bags are for! In the second place, if you remember correctly, Janet did not want the ketchup that was offered to her. Why would she have poured it from a glass bottle to a plastic cut if she was not going to eat it?

Sheeesh, can't you tell from the big smiley face in my post that I was just JOKING around with you!!
You must REALLY be a dummy!! :D
Smartboy 01-29-2010, 05:57 PM In retrospect, I have no problem understanding that in your innitial response you were just kidding around with me. And for this, I apologize for jumping to conclusions and getting on you case about it. However, being that you felt a need that to add "You must REALLY be a dummy", it seems that you almost want people to be hostile to you! I am sure that I am not alone in wondering what your real motives are! Wish to give an explanation?
