I have to wonder whatever became of the Andre Jones case, or of the others mentioned during the segment which involved hangings in MS jails. Half were white, half were black.
I remember that a Justice Department probe was in progress but nothing further was ever mentioned on the show.

Last time I checked, this case was still unsolved and Andre's family's lawsuit against various government agencies was dismissed.

It would seem like race was not an issue with this whole situation. I remember that half of the deaths were white and half were black. This whole situation just seems like one which involved heavy-handed law enforcement tactics.

This was one of the few UM cases where several facets of LE appeared on the show. That usually means there isn't anything their afraid to talk about and/or hide. I still contend that his death was nothing more than a suicide.
