The Douglas' Green Acres farm was part of the fictional community of Hooterville, which many fans believe to have been located in Missouri -- though never specified. Paul Henning's wife Ruth told of a little hotel from when she grew up in Missouri, and that was the concept behind the creation of the Shady Rest Hotel in Hooterville on Petticoat Junction.

As far as Bugtussle (sp?), Granny Clampett mentioned the city often -- but you'll have to help me with my geography for this reason: Clampett territory was in the Ozark Mountains region, and I don't think those mountains reach far enough south to include Oklahoma. For that reason, Bugtussle could not have been in OK as far as The Beverly Hillbillies series was concerned.
