Since I been watching the CHIP CHOP versions of the Jeffersons on TV land and TV one with all the good parts missing and now I suddenly got the urge to start watching my DVD's again so I can see everything again.

Has Anyone done the same thing???

I am also fed up with TVLand's butchering. I even hear they are starting to beep out some of the curse words and racial slurs? WTF? Controversial and daring dialogue like that is part of what makes this show great. Thank goodness we have some DVDs.

More importantly, what do you think of my MASTER PLAN?

Here is my Master Plan. Before I watch my DVDs of Seasons 1-6 again, I am going to tape the rest of the eps from Seasons 7-11. They are in order for the most part. I tried to do so back this fall and was doing well, but I quit looking at the schedule and did not realize that they began airing it twice a day instead of once, so I must start over again. March 18th is when Season 7 begins again. TVLand's message boards have schedules posted months in advance so I will be able to write down every ep I am getting as well as the few they are skipping. I am going to have to keep lots of sticky notes and constant reminders around my house so I will not miss one. This is probably the last chance for a long time to get these eps unless they release them on DVD. Wish me luck!

I plan to wait until I have all the eps from Seasons 7-11 on tape. Then I am going to watch the ENTIRE SERIES in one run over the course of several months. Of course I will not have all 253 eps since TVLand does skip a few here and there, but at least they skip eps that make since like holiday eps and things like that. Other networks not only skip eps but they air out of order.

Then I will record the tapes to DVDs so this show will be preserved for me forever!

I always wanted to do this with this show because it does not have all the seasons on DVD and I am mad at myself for not doing it sooner. Part of my inspiration for doing it now is a rumour I heard that The Jeffersons expires from TVLand in August of this year. Is that true??? If so, a mediocre three year run was all we got. We got screwed.

I think you better try gettting all the eps from seasons 7 to 11 from TV ONE because TV land does not have all the eps from that era. They only have part 1 of Florence Did It Different and not Part 2.

I would do just that, but I live in Athens and Knoxville which are in East Tennessee and I do not get TVONE. I can live with missing a small portion of the eps. Plus I have Florence Did It Different Parts I and II on tape from N@N's marathon a decade ago.

I just checked TVONE's website and Knoxville is the only major city in Tennessee that does not get TVONE. Damn my luck! The closest city to me that gets the network is a small town called Friendsville which is in between Athens and Knoxville. Why small little Friendsville gets it and small little Athens does not is strange.

I would estimate that there are about 50 or 60 eps from the 100+ eps from Seasons 7-11 that I have NEVER seen. That makes this all the more exciting.

Also, you may have responded before I made an edit asking about this show expiring from TVLand in August. Have you heard anything like that?

I bet the closest major city in my area that gets that network is Atlanta or Nashville.

I think it depends if you have Comcast or Directv not what area you live in. I havent hear anything about the Jeffersons contract expiring in 09. I just wish it had better timeslots instead of the morning and early morning
