View Full Version : OH NO!!! Comcast saying "goodbye" to "Facts of Life" and "hello" to "Seinfeld"????
brownie87 02-13-2009, 02:39 PM Okay, I've been hearing from people that Comcast will be getting rid of all their classic TV shows on TubeTime and replacing them with classic "Seinfeld" episodes! ARGH!!!! I sure hope there are lies!!! Bad enough all the crappy networks around here devote all the time in the world to showing nonstop "Seinfeld" reruns and the DVD companies keeps shelling out all these special sets of "Seinfeld" even though the crap-filled show has an entire series out already....now Comcast has fallen under the dreaded "Seinfeld" curse, too?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Can someone on here PLEASE tell me this is all a big rumor?!?!?!?!?!?!
catlover79 02-13-2009, 02:52 PM Bummer.
Scoobiedoo30 02-13-2009, 04:35 PM That is a Bummer
Pavan 02-13-2009, 04:58 PM Where is this being stated? I've heard no such thing.
Scoobiedoo30 02-13-2009, 05:05 PM Pavan do you think that this could be a rumor.
brownie87 02-13-2009, 05:25 PM I just called my friend and fellow classic TV buff, Fran, and she told me that word is out that Comcast's "classic TV" hasn't been doing well and there's been alot of demand for shows like "Seinfeld" and "Friends". So, sadly, Comcast buckled under the pressure and are removing all their classic shows.

I don't see how those shows will do better since they're running nonstop in syndication already.
brownie87 02-14-2009, 09:21 AM It's a mystery to me, too. I think most people out there are just braindead and they'd rather see a stupid, s**tty show about a bunch of ugly, mean-spirited people who treat people like crap and whine about nothing than a decent show like "FOL" where there are actual stories and real characters.
Pavan 02-14-2009, 02:35 PM Until there is something in writing, that is not true. Your "friend" needs to prove it with info. My Comcast contacts say no such thing. Comcast Tubetime has added new shows (Sanford & Son, Larry Sanders, etc) as of last month, and show no signs of leaving. Friends isn't even Sony-owned, sounds like a lie to me. They could add Seinfeld, but why would they remove every show for it? This is BS your friend is saying. We have covered Comcast Tubetime here at SitcomsOnline from the start, so we would know. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/labels/TubeTime.html

Why would Comcast be adding a show that is already on Cable and DVD??? Damm that is dumb

Exactly, TBS is running Seinfeld and Friends and it ould look so stupid for Comcast to pick it up.

:yeahthat It airs here in Cleveland twice every weeknight, and once on weekends. When was the last time FOL aired in syndication, anywhere??
Pavan 02-14-2009, 04:12 PM Because this is not true, Solomon.
