This post is a follow-up to my thread titled "Buddy Hinton". Being that no one has responded to that one so far, I would like to elaborate a little bit more on what I meant about two wrongs making a right. To start with the episode that I wrote about was "Samantha's Protest" and the "Brady Bunch" episode that I compared it to was "A Fistfull of Reasons". In the "Brady Bunch" situation, Peter was willing to win gracefully and let the bully that he turned the tables on loose with dignity. However, on this third season episode, Nell, Julie and Samantha took a different approach! At the beginning of the episode, Katie acted very shallow, superficial and full of herself. At the protest, she flurted her butt off with a boy who had no interest in her. Because of how conceated she was, she did not accept that reality! In the end she learned that the handsome boy from the protest was taking "Samantha" to a movie the next day! Once Katie's jaw dropped, Nell, Julie and Samantha made a circle around her and sang "Guantonimario" as they marched. It was clear that they were rubbing Katie's nose in the fact that she was horny with no place to go! I wonder what Peter Brady would have said about that!
