Hello to all.
I have been a huge fan of Wings for years. I own the DVDs (through season 5) and watch them frequently. Prior to that I had almost all of the episodes tape from USA Network when they aired years ago. The reason I say I had almost all of them is because the Christmas episodes did not air very frequently and I did not have them.
I was so interested in "Wings World" that I became enamored with and visited Nantucket. I have been there twice. First in 2000 with my girlfriend and then in 2004 with my wife. They are both the same woman. We married in 2002.
For any of you that have been there, has anyone watched the sun rise from Great Point? It is a life changing experience.
Anyway, I could ramble on and on about Wings and Nantucket, but I'll stop there for now. As you can probably tell, I am happy to be here to share with our love for Wings.

Welcome to SO, JoBu! :) No, I haven't been to Nantucket. My wife and I traveled to New England in June of 2001. We visited Cape Cod, Plymouth, Mass., the Boston suburbs and Boston itself. I wish we'd gone to Nantucket. We drove up from Connecticut, through Rhode Island, so we weren't all that far away. Wings is one of my favorite shows, too.
Great to have you on SitcomsOnline!

Welcome.
I had taped many episodes off of USA myself, starting with the Summer of 2000. That was when I graduated from high school, and woke up early every morning to watch the full USAM Lineup. Like you, I didn't have the Christmas episodes for a while (except for "Insanity Claus" which aired in the regular rotation). I had all of the first six seasons (eventually I got the Christmas episodes on tape). The cycle I recorded the episodes in skipped "Portrait of the Con Artist as a Young Man", so I didn't have that. I also didn't have the internet, so I couldn't get an episode guide online to see if I was missing any episodes. I just trusted USA to air them all. I also had the first 13 or so episodes of the seventh season and the first ten episodes of the eighth season. Plus the final episode (the second half of the finale). Now I have the first seven seasons on DVD, and plan to buy the last one in April. I've not seen the episodes I didn't tape, so it'll be like seeing brand new episodes when I get the DVD. Why I didn't just tape them off of Nick at Nite, I don't know.
I've never been to Nantucket, but I'd like to go there sometime.
And again, Welcome.

I'm actually new too!
I am a "frequent flyer" as well, I started watching "Wings" way back in 1990, when I was 7 1/2 in first grade. Funny thing is, what ever season it was what the grade I was in (season 1 = 1st grade, season 2 = 2nd grade, etc.). I re-discovered "wings" in February 2008, after watching this horrible Tim Daly movie called "Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde." I knew that I recognized the "gorgeous male actor" from somewhere, so I looked him up, and remembered that I had watched this show in the past! I watched one ep on TV Land, was hooked, and immediately ordered the Seasons 1/2 boxed set. I bought all of the other released seasons between March '08 and October '08.
I own every set up to Season 7, and will get ready to pre-order Season 8, though I am disappointed that I will be finished with my set. The completion of a boxed set for a series is always dissapointing (Quantum Leap's last release was sad!).

Welcome  It's always nice to see new Wings fans here. I've never been to Nantucket although I do live in Taxachusetts, um, Massachusetts.
