I think its implied here that it was stolden, actually it hasn't been installed yet. Thats not that unusual for it to take a year or more sometimes.

Often people are advised to wait a year or two to put headstones up for family members because in some areas the soil and grass need settle and flatten.

I'm sorry to hear that her tombstone was missing. That's so sad.:crying:

Sometimes, it takes a while for the marker to be placed, so I hope that's whay has happened rather than the marker having been stolen or there's to be no marker at all for Estelle's grave...
