After spending one day with the Dallas Cowboys in a coaching/advisory role, Dan Reeves apparently went on every sports-radio talk show in the area.

And he had some interesting things to say about Terrell Owens' future with the team, which the Dallas Morning News chronicled. And it is not rock solid. Apparently the team is split on whether or not to keep the controversial wide receiver.

"I did find out while I was down there that there are a lot of mixed feelings about T.O. within the organization. They've got to sit down and make a decision," Reeves told Galloway and Co. on ESPN 103.3 FM.

Reeves didn't specify why his tenure with the team was short-lived.

Since he left, they have become a joke.

The reason the 49ers are a joke is because they had major salary cap issues a few years back and lost many good players as a result. Also they've done a poor job of drafting in the years since. So their troubles really have very little to do with T.O.

I totally agree with you. I believe he's divided the team. The Cowboys are never going to win with him on the team. After he leaves, the next thing the Cowboys have to do is fire their GM. :D

That's what they said about Parcells too so you never know. I will say though that our owner is proving to be as nutty as Al Davis so I'd be surprised if we could get any top coach here until he steps down as GM.

It might not mean instant winning but it will be a start. I'd rather lose with a bunch of players that are at least trying to win than what we got now. The whole team is in disarray. According to Dan Reeves the management is divided at what to do about T.O. If he wasn't causing problems than the team would be united. Also S.F.'s fall doesn't only have anything to do with T.O. They got a new owner and they got rid of many of their main players like Garcia too. Mike Singletary will turn it around. They might be a surprise next year. They'll probably win their 6th before us too. Philadelphia seems to have survived without T.O. I'm tired of all this circus atmosphere that he causes. Everytime you turn on the tv, it's something else.

Cowboys' Jones hopeful he'll keep Owens

KAPOLEI, Hawaii - The hot topic around the hotel pool at the Ihilani resort is the future of Terrell Owens in Dallas.

According to two sources here where the Pro Bowl players and coaches are staying, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has had some veteran players come to his home in recent days to discuss how the team can work out problems with Owens.

Jones is hopeful he can manage the situation with Owens and repair the troubled relationship the wide receiver has with numerous teammates, including quarterback Tony Romo.

Sources say that among the issues players are having with Owens is his refusal to talk to other players on offense and acknowledge them in the huddle, in the locker room or at other team functions.

While Jones remains hopeful of working out the situation, there's a feeling among many within the organization that he won't be able to resolve the situation.

"I really believe that Jerry is going to get the message from people that Owens just can't work there," one of the sources said. "It's just a bad, bad situation."

Owens has played for Dallas the last three seasons, collecting at least 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in each of those years. He reportedly had run-ins with Romo and tight end Jason Witten during the season, though Owens recently downplayed any tension between himself and the quarterback, saying he and Romo are "good."

That's what they said about Parcells too so you never know.
