It just was disturbing to see Jaleel White all over the guy who played eddie and I always just turn the channel. I mean how could Jaleel play a woman character that was all over another guy? Atleast with Shennah on Martin, she was never on a date or chasing a guy around and that's why the Cousin Myrtle character was ODD to me. Do not want to see a man flirting with another man-lol

I'm just surprised he was able to play a character like that and he had to be all over eddie. Sure it was uncomfortable for the guy who played eddie too.

Totally. It was ok the first time she appeared. And also funny when she got back for an episode, but then it just got too much.

Exactly! She was an okay character for an episode here and there, but not as a semi-regular (even though I admire Jaleel's acting). I wish they would have kept Judy and focused on her instead of on Myrthle and Stefan.

Myrtle Urkel never really bothered me that much. I keep telling myself that I know she should have bothered me. Not because she was being played by a dude, but because her character became overexposed. Lots things made this show decline in the last two seasons. Somehow though out of all of those things Myrtle bothered me the least.

Perhaps I liked her fights with Greta and her interactions with Eddie who was almost a background character by Season 9 . What else did he do in Season 9 that did not involve Myrtle somehow? The whole thing about him becoming a cop was unfortunately never developed further.

The funniest part of watching Jaleel play Myrtle was whenever he was sleeveless because Jaleel's masculine biceps were painfully obvious and that made Myrtle look like some sort of female bodybuilder.

No, he didn't. He was basically just Jaleel being himself. It gave Jaleel a chance to rest his voice though, so I appreciate the character for that reason.

I think you're right. And it also gave Jaleel more to do, so he could show what a good actor he is. It's so sad, that no one took him seriously after this show ended.
