He always calls Jack: "Effe." Does anybody know the proper spelling of this word, and what it means in Spanish?

The proper spelling is 'jefe'. J's are silent in Spanish. It means "leader" or "boss" or something to that extent.

Well in Mexican Spanish "Jefe" the J is not silent I always thought Felipe was saying "Jefe" with the J sound. I guess it's time to go back and watch the episodes he's in.

and yes as some have said it means boss.

Ok that makes sense now because jack was begging Felipe for a favor and then he said-"jefe" and then Felipe said-"ok, since you put it that way"
