or just a flash in the pan? I think they have good coaching and some pretty talented players, but without Warner I think a flash in the pan.

It might be another 60 years before they play for the NFL Championship again. lol I think it's all about Warner. If he retires then they're done.

I think on offense they're for real but not on defense. Therefore I have to vote for flash in the pan.

Yeah, why wouldn't he be able to perform after watching for a whole season?

Eli has a Super Bowl ring, and Delhomme got to a Super Bowl. I can't call anyone who wins a Super Bowl or makes a Super Bowl a bum.

98- Packers lose SB, make playoffs next year
99- Falcons lose SB, miss playoffs next year
00- Titans lose SB, make playoffs next year
01- Giants lose SB, miss playoffs next year
02- Rams lose SB, miss playoffs next year
03- Raiders lose SB, miss playoffs next year
04- Panthers lose SB, miss playoffs next year
05- Eagles lose SB, miss playoffs next year
06- Seahawks lose SB, make playoffs next year
07- Bears lose SB, miss playoffs next year
08- Patriots lose SB, miss playoffs next year

Only three times in eleven seasons, and only since Tennessee's loss in 2000, has a team made it to the Super Bowl, lost, and made the playoffs the next year. None of the three (1998 Packers, 2000 Titans, 2006 Seahawks) made it past the divisional round of that subsequent season's playoffs

The 2010-11 season may be another story, particularly if Leinart (or someone else) develops as a strong QB, but I don't like their odds for 2009-10.

I wonder if Bill Bidwill (sp?) wants a new stadium deal, explaining why the Cardinals made the playoffs. I remember baseball's Florida Marlins did something similar when they won the 1997 World Series, only to go 54-108 the following year after dumping most of their roster. Can you say SUCKERS?

The Arizona Cardinals is the place where players that were good go to end their careers.

And if Arizona came to the Stupid Bowl...that means the Cleveland Steamers now have a chance (But let's hope they can get a win from the Stealers).
