He was about a yr old and was hospitalized for polio in Ithaca NY, Was then adopted by the Smith family. His name is Terri Saumier (birth name) He has 1 leg that is shorter then the other due to the polio. I Have a picture of him when he was 3 to 6 months old. I can get more info regarding this issue but I know I'd love to find him someday

How old would he be now?
Have you tried MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Reunion.com, and other sites? They might also help. I think there are also sites where you could send the picture you have of him and then can digitally age him so you could see what he might look like today. Then post that pic too all over the place. I don't think it costs all that much. You can even maybe write to Dr. Phil and let his team do a lot of the legwork for you (as long as you'd be willing to go on his show of course).
Hope you find him!

There are people finder websites that can do some public records searching for a nominal fee. That might be your best shot. I haven't used any of them personally, but may consider it soon as there is a cousin I would like to contact. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck in your search.

Ultimately you may need a private investigator. :(
It may be pricey, but you probably would get the best results. (and it would save yourself time and legwork. ;) )
Luckily, private investigation agencies is a booming business so you may have more of a choice depending on where you live.
If you know a lawyer or have a lawyer, best to ask that person for recommendations
Some of these private investigators have access to paths that you may not be able to follow.
Ex. if the investigator has contacts with credit card companies, he may be able to get favors from people he knows to find out addresses from credit card payments.
