The obsession with eternal youth in Hollywood, along with advances in medicine, is compelling an ever-greater number of stars to go under the knife and needle. Here are some celebrities who can’t steer clear of the operating table — from nightmarish reconstructions (need we mention Michael Jackson or Jocelyn “Cat Woman” Wildenstein?) to standard yet freakish facelifts (Cher) to simple lip injections (Jessica Simpson). It's odd how people who get these proceedures done never come to the conclusion from seeing others that...it just doesn't work. I'd say about 95% of the time it makes a person look worse if they really don't absolutely need it.

She was hot in Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller......now she is just another nice looking, but not distinctive face.

i think it is tragic to see celebrities of whom are supposed to be role models for whom we can look up to, especially the kids having to resort to things like this. it probably goes to show how insecure they feel on the inside. there are exceptions though- like for instance, to remove a scar or having endured a terrible injury, people turn to plastic surgery as a last resort to make them look and feel better.

the problem with plastic surgery as we all realise is when people of whom looked perfect before they had the surgery, decide to go full steam ahead and change their entire face or whatever- and they end up looking much worse than they did before. the likes of jacko need to seek help, instead of turning to surgery. like heroin- it's an addiction that gets out of hand and out of control sadly and screws you up
