View Full Version : Unsolved Mysteries To Return Feb 9th! thetornado 02-01-2009, 03:19 AM I am not sure if there will be new episodes but nevertheless I guess its returning!:) LofaroNYG27 02-01-2009, 04:11 AM Yeah, I looked it up on tvguide.com's listings and they have Unsolved Mysteries being scheduled Mon-Fri the week of Feb 9th. From 11 AM to 3 PM. TracyLynnS 02-01-2009, 12:42 PM So it's just in the 11:00 to 3:00 slot again, huh? IMO, after broadcasting a CSI marathon that was almost 24 hours a day for weeks, I think they should at least reward us with a week of 12 -18 hours of a real UM marathon. I sure wish I had tivo or a dvr. So I wouldn't be at the mercy of Spike's odd whims. Kane 02-01-2009, 03:08 PM IMO, after broadcasting a CSI marathon that was almost 24 hours a day for weeks, I think they should at least reward us with a week of 12 -18 hours of a real UM marathon. Agreed. Although what will happen and what ought to happen are often two different things, there would be no better way for Spike to make up for the absence of UM than by giving us such a lengthy marathon of the show. What's fair is fair. Todd Mueller 02-01-2009, 04:03 PM If you don't like the "new" schedule, just give it a couple weeks. Spike can't leave UM in the same spot for long. wiseguy182 02-01-2009, 09:08 PM If you don't like the "new" schedule, just give it a couple weeks. Spike can't leave UM in the same spot for long. agreed. Knowing spike, UM will come and go 3 times before May. Also, I'm a huge married with children fan, but do we really need a Valentine's Day marathon of the Bundy's? When I think love, I don't think of that show. TracyLynnS 02-02-2009, 12:09 AM agreed. Knowing spike, UM will come and go 3 times before May. A Married With Children marathon on Valentine's Day!? The characters on that show HATE each other. Al can't stand Peg, the parents hate the kids, the kids hate the parents and each other. Even the dog is embarrassed to be living with that bizarre bunch. Yep, there's nothing like a Married With Children marathon to put a little romance into the holiday for lovers. :p DP1 02-02-2009, 12:33 AM LOL!!! Yep, there's nothing like a Married With Children marathon to put a little romance into the holiday for lovers. :p I remember one year the show had a Valentine's Day episode. At the end of the episode, they told viewers to call in and vote on whether Al should tell Peggy he loved her or not. They aired the end later on in the night. Still a classic that series. One of the few 80s series to have aged well. wiseguy182 02-02-2009, 12:37 AM Here's a classic exchange from an episode of married with children I saw recently. Marcy: "I love you Steve" Steve: "I love you Marcy" Al: "I hate them Peg" Peg: "They hate you Al." awesome stuff. Jediknight1823 02-02-2009, 07:15 AM I don't know what station is worse with the marathons, Spike for CSI or USA for House. The only thing I watch on Spike regularly is Unsolved, if TNA would stop trying to be WCW junior, then I'd watch it regularly. On the replays because I won't watch it over Smallville and Supernatural. As for USA, they've got Monk, Psych and Burn Notice they can show. But every freaking week there's a House marathon. agreed. Knowing spike, UM will come and go 3 times before May. Also, I'm a huge married with children fan, but do we really need a Valentine's Day marathon of the Bundy's? When I think love, I don't think of that show. To be fair to Married with Children. Al may say he hates his family, but they've always shown that despite what Al says, he loves his family. Remember the car wash episode, Al was pissed that his Dodge got lost because of what he had in the trunk. All he cared about was that important thing in the trunk. They find the car, Al sees it's still in the trunk, everyone thinks it's a Big Uns, but it's a picture of his family that he valued. This thread is in a different place than it started. leafygreens 02-02-2009, 10:57 AM Can't they just play an hour a week like they used to or at least an hour a day? 4 hours a day is just more than I can keep up with watching! I mean that's an absolutely insane TV watching schedule. Todd Mueller 02-02-2009, 12:10 PM I don't know what station is worse with the marathons, Spike for CSI or USA for House. It doesn't matter where you live in America or who your cable provider is, or what time of the day it is... I will guarantee you the following three programs are always being broadcast on some channel: 1. CSI 2. House 3. Lethal Weapon (or Lethal Weapon 2, Lethal Weapon 3, or god forbid Lethal Weapon 4) TracyLynnS 02-02-2009, 12:12 PM Speaking of all these marathons, House, CSI, UM, etc... It kinda makes me wonder what the heck I'm paying $63 a month for to have TV service. Is there anything even on TV to watch? Many channels are showing infomercials off and on during the day, and almost ALL channels have infomercial marathons all night long. I really hate it when I can't sleep and I wanna watch a little TV until I get drowsy again, but all that's on is 113 channels of "real estate millions" "spray on hair baldness cure" "bowflex home gym" blah blah blah. Why don't they just re-run their daytime schedule at night, or put on something watchable? Why the heck am I paying for satellite tv, and most of it is infomercials? Here are the shows I usually watch: UM House sometimes Charmed movies that are so old they made it to TV and some Cold Case Files type shows My husband doesn't watch any TV at all, unless it's already on. My daughter is the same. My son watches fishing shows, and occasional reruns of Tool Time, King of Queens, and Seinfeld. $63 a month for that? That's $756 a year! I could save a lot of money by just getting some of my favorites on DVD (like I did with Dead Like Me) and be done with it, because re-runs are the only shows we watch anyway. We don't watch any first run programming. peachysquirt21 02-02-2009, 12:32 PM Speaking of all these marathons, House, CSI, UM, etc... We don't watch any first run programming. I know what ya mean. TV nowadays for the most part stinks. I rarely watch new shows anymore because most just don't interest me or I tune in to a few I like & they get canceled. Most of my tv time is watching re runs. My hubby tells me we really don't need tv anymore cause most of the time we are watching dvds. I miss the old days of tv. Seems back then there was better things on. Now all ya get is reality shows. I am sick to death of that crap. TracyLynnS 02-02-2009, 01:02 PM Now all ya get is reality shows. I am sick to death of that crap. Oh, I totally forgot about the reality shows! I haven't watched one since the 3rd or 4th episode of bug eating on Fear Factor nearly 10 years ago. Now the reality shows have morphed into night vision cam sex romps, booty calls, cat fights, drunks, etc. Yuck. Jediknight1823 02-03-2009, 01:48 PM I know what ya mean. There's The Simpsons, Eureka, South Park, Bones, Smallville, Supernatural, Burn Notice, Monk, Psych and the best show on television Chuck. Less than a week till Unsolved returns. Woo hoo! |
