Quick review: Doyle Wheeler was a San Diego cop who got bent over a post because he would lie on the witness stand and help out a fellow cop. He told the truth and got blackballed by the department. Later there was an attempt on his life, although some thought the event was staged. Doyle actually posted here himself last summer (search for his name and you will find the thread).

I was watching an old CD volume tonight and the Doyle Wheeler segment was on. I wondered if there was ever anything new, so I did a Google search and I found to surprising hits.

The first is his Newsvine page (http://doylewheeler.newsvine.com/). Look on the right side where it says "About Doyle Wheeler" and click on the link that says "read more." He talks all about his police past and his current endeavors. Sounds like the poor guy has had a real run of bad luck lately. Hopefully things will start going better for him.

The second site is his Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/people/Doyle-Wheeler/1089274464). It's a private page so you can't see the profile, but you can at least see a current picture of Doyle with his new grandson (cute kid).

Just interesting to see what someone from the old UM days is doing now.
