When I first started watching the SBT reruns on ABC Family in November they were at the start of the fourth season. I really enjoyed the entire fourth season. The fifth season started out well, but I think it seemed to run out of steam near the end of the season. Cody wasn't there and the producers replaced him with the Flash character, who was totally annoying. That two part where the family and Rich and Flash go to Disney World was awful.

ABC Family started showing season six about two weeks ago and the episodes are much better then the later season five episodes. Rich has become a better character now that he is dating Dana. He's become much more than JT's annoying comical sidekick. I also think the whole idea of having Dana and Rich date was clever because it shows how opposites really do attract. I also love Bronson Pinchot as Jean-Luc.

What do the rest of you think of the sixth season? Is it the show's best? Before I can really decide I'll have to see the first season again, as well as seasons two and three, but watching season six it really seems like it is probably the best.

Honestly, no.

I didn't have a problem with Jean-Luc, unlike other SBS fans.

There were a few things that slighted me about season six:

1. Why did they not start the season in the fall? They were airing new episodes in the summer.

2. Karen seemed to be getting less and less airtime. Granted, that sounds like a dumb reason, but I'm someone who had a ridiculous affection/admiration/crush/lust for Angie.

I think the best seasons were all early - before the baby. I think adding a baby was a mistake, since they already had a large family and many characters to draw storylines from.

I like the earlier seasons too, but season 6 was good. I don't mind that Cody left or that they added Jean- Luc but I still liked the earlier seassons better, like seasons 1-3.

I've noticed that too. And your feelings aren't ridculous at all since she is your favorite character. I do agree they should have found more for Karen to do. Though I do love the fact the writers made her a fan of country music. I also like the episodes where she got to perform a little.
