But you are also named in Paul Anka's "Zwei Maedchen aus Germany" (= Two Girls from Germany) where he is singing about being in Love with Gisela & Monika. Love that Song! ================================================================================== catlover79 01-31-2009, 05:10 PM ^ Thanks for the info, Iris!! Nighthawk76 01-31-2009, 05:19 PM "Let 'Em In" by Paul McCartney and Wings. In the song Paul uses the names of all his real life relatives including his younger brother, Michael. Nighthawk76 01-31-2009, 05:22 PM The only one I can think of is "Mambo #5" - "a little bit of Monica" (even though I spell my first name with a "k" - the German way). I hate that song. :barf:  I think it really may be the worst song ever made, along with "Afternoon Delight" by the Starlight Vocal Band and "Brandy" by...well, whoever. You know which one I'm taking about, "Brandy, you're a fine girl, what a good wife you would be..." Terrible! catlover79 01-31-2009, 05:25 PM Looking Glass is the band that performed "Brandy", for whatever it's worth. The Highwaymen had a #1 hit in the late 50s/early 60s with "Michael" - that's the one that goes "Michael rode the boat ashore...hallelujah..." Nighthawk76 01-31-2009, 05:28 PM Looking Glass is the band that performed "Brandy", for whatever it's worth. The Highwaymen had a #1 hit in the late 50s/early 60s with "Michael" - that's the one that goes "Michael rode the boat ashore...hallelujah..." Looking Glass, yeah, that's right. Boy do I hate that song. There's an episode of Square Pegs where they make fun of that song. catlover79 01-31-2009, 05:31 PM ^ Personally, I've heard worse songs, but I can understand why people can't stand it. spreckenzeedeu 01-31-2009, 05:36 PM Thanks for the info, Iris!! You are very welcome :) :) Ohio8 02-01-2009, 12:50 AM "Let 'Em In" by Paul McCartney and Wings. Well, it's not spelled your way, but there is a song called "Monica" from the band Extreme. It's not on any of their CD's though. It's a demo. It's not on any of their CD's because a fan came to them and told them about a girl who was also a fan named Monica who needed a heart & lung transplant. That touched them so much they wrote a song about her and the money raised from that song would go to her hospital bills. As far as I know, Monica is still alive. phoebe7165 02-01-2009, 02:42 PM Captain Jack Happy Jack The Jack - AC/DC Jack & Diane - John Mellencamp catlover79 02-01-2009, 02:49 PM The Jack - AC/DC Jack & Diane - John Mellencamp Hit the Road, Jack - Ray Charles Smackwater Jack - Carole King Jumpin' Jack Flash - Rolling Stones catlover79 02-01-2009, 02:51 PM Well, it's not spelled your way, but there is a song called "Monica" from the band Extreme.
