View Full Version : The Characters You Rooted For
I want you to name a TV show and a character that you always wanted to see come out on top at the end of an episode.
Some of mine:
1. Al Bundy - Married With Children
2. Zack Morris - Saved By The Bell (particularly in the episodes where he competes with Slater)
3. Dan Fielding - Night Court
4. Ricky Ricardo - I Love Lucy (Not that I don't love Lucy but I always liked Ricky more)
5. Bobby Budnick - Salute Your Shorts (most misunderstood 'bad boy')
6. Tamera - Sister, Sister
7. Blair - The Facts of Life
8. Martin - Martin (particularly in an insult match against Pam)
9. JT - Step By Step
10. Ted Baxter - Mary Tyler Moore Show
11. George - Seinfeld
Big C 01-30-2009, 09:26 PM Al Bundy
Bud Bundy
J.T. Lambert
Mikado 01-30-2009, 10:50 PM Frank Burns (Poor guy didnt have a single friend in the World, and even his own father had treated him poorly, as a child)
Cliff Claven (Someone should have pointed out to that b**ch Carla that she wasnt exactly desirable, or likeable, herself!!!)
Ralph Cramden (You knew none of his schemes would EVER work...but, you kind of wanted to see something go right for the big lovable slob, just once)
Ethel Mertz (Lucy put her through hell, sometimes)
Edith Bunker (She could have divorced under grounds of "mental cruelty" at least once a show!!!!)

ekkostar 01-31-2009, 08:43 AM Root for Dan? I don't know, the best part was seeing him fail hard to get a hot piece of tail sometimes or get stuck in a strange situation due to Harry's scheming.
Chocoholic 01-31-2009, 08:23 PM Frank Burns (Poor guy didnt have a single friend in the World, and even his own father had treated him poorly, as a child)

Antonio (Wings)
Ziodberg (Futurama)
Helen (Wings)
JD (Scrubs)
dawsongirl 02-01-2009, 12:21 AM Fry - Futurama. It's not his fault he's stupid. lol
David Banner - Incredible Hulk. I swear there's never been someone so unlucky on TV.
Walter Nebicher - Automan. He could close a case, and Boyd was still treating him like ****. Boyd was jealous. :p

repeatshistory 02-01-2009, 04:05 AM Dan Rydell (Josh Charles) on SportsNight, especially in his quest to win Rebecca Welles' (Teri Polo) heart.
Jeremy Goodwin (Joshua Malina) on SportsNight, because I ALWAYS root for the cute geek to get the impossibly hot girl (Sabrina Lloyd, in this case).
Mackie Bloom (Christopher Murney) on Remember WENN. The 'man of a thousand voices' and a true romantic at heart. Go Mackie.
Scott Sherwood (Kevin O'Rourke) on Remember WENN because his schemes, while conniving and occasionally stupid, were very rooted in his honest desire to make the station profitable.
Always like to see Jaye (Caroline Dhavernas) succeed on Wonderfalls. Her face would absolutely light up when she would win.
Les Nessman (Richard Sanders) on WKRP In Cincinnati, in his never ending quest for respect and integrity, and in his struggle to FINALLY understand sports.
Mrgman 02-04-2009, 08:29 PM Peter griffin form family guy
jimpickens 02-05-2009, 03:17 AM Al Bundy: Stuck in a dead end job, married to a money grubbing waste of a human being, daughter's a ******, the boy's a pie hawking twit, lives next door to the bitch from hell, had his favorite TV show canceled would've love to have seen go Psycho Dad on the whole lot including the dog. At least Frank Burns got the last laugh when he was transfered stateside to a VA hospital and promoted.
