(Jan. 30) - Former 'Three's Company' beauty Suzanne Somers visited 'Oprah' on Thursday to share her secret to appearing so young and fit at the tender age of 61, and the answer boils down to this: lotsa pills.

During a segment of the show, which can be seen at The Huffington Post, the actress invites cameras into her home to demonstrate the bulk of her daily health care routine. What part did she thankfully leave out for viewers? When she injects estriol, a type of estrogen, vaginally.

The full regiment goes like so:

>> The actress rubs a dabble of estrogen cream on the inside of her arm. Two weeks of every month she also applies a Progesterone substance on the other arm. "The reason you put it on the skin, is that with every pulse of blood throughout the day, these hormones are pulsing through your body."
>> Every morning, Somers injects the estriol into her you-know-what. "I'm not showing you how I do that," she jokes.

>> Now the kitchen, where she swallows about 40 supplements in the morning, some in a smoothie that her husband makes for her. "It's good," she says as she gulps more pills while downing the vita-drink, "Here's why our marriage has lasted 41 years." Then, before she goes to bed she takes another 20 supplements.

Nothing like being totally made up of chemicals Suzanne!!!

Meanwhile, they say too many supplements can be harmful.

Plus all the other "Botox" injections....she must look like a pin cushion!

And looooots of botox, of course. She must've forgot to let Oprah in on that one.

But dear sweet Jesus. Vaginally!? AHH.

God reminds me of this video. Tracey has her laugh dead on, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qKABSHfw-E&feature=related

I was watching that and so was my mom. My mom isn't fond of her, she finds her to be fake. When they showed her at home with all those supplements or horse pills if you ask me, we looked at each other and we both exclaimed NO WAY!!! Good thing she doesn't advise her followers to be as extreme as her.

Ick, I agree, this is freaky... I mean, for all that... you'd think she'd look better than she does. 60 supplements every day?!?! I wonder what she'd look like if she just stopped it all..

She looked fine until Step By Step ended. So much botox and collagen. When are these people going to realize it's not worth it?? ohno:

Sounds like Suzanne pops pills the way Joan Rivers gets plastic surgeries. And their both scary looking as a result.

This is the same woman who took liposuction as a cancer treatment several years back, so I don't see her going the traditional route when it comes to medicine, beauty aids, and whatnot. But, she's cancer free several years later, so she obviously found a plan that worked for her.

I agree. She looked fine on Step By Step but now she just looks so fake, and it's not helping her for the better. What a rediculous regimen to go through when it's really not doing anything for her. ohno:

So many of her colleagues, such as Patrick Duffy, Joyce DeWitt, etc. look so much better as they've aged. I don't know if they've had any work done, but at least they don't look all plastic.

You don't honestly believe that's why she had lipo do you? Especially undergoing cancer treatment now myself, there's not one person or doctor I've met who've ever had lipo as part of a cancer treatment!!! Breast implants for reconstruction yes, lipo - NEVER!

That's when I lost all respect for her. It's like Star Jones denying the stomach surgery saying she lost all that weight on her own.

She'd be a lot better off just letting herself age naturally. Yes, take care of yourself - eat right, exercise, go to spas, but stop the plastic, phoney crap.

Maybe she's hoping that by the time she dies, she'll have enough chemicals in her that they won't have to embalm her body - it'll just never rot!

I always did think that the lipo thing was pretty fishy, but who knows? I'll take your word for it since you are undergoing treatment. My dad is the exact same age she is - he looks WAY better!!!!

I know! I have friends who've been smokers too who look better.

Genetics have a lot to do with things - and you can't fight those "naturally"!

Cathie, did you see these recent pics of Linda Lavin? She may be older than Suzanne Somers but she looks a LOT better.

That's exactly what I'm talking about! Like Betty White. You can tell they were knockouts in their heyday, and are still beautiful women....just older.
I just appreciate people for how they keep themselves - without being obsessive about anything - everything in moderation!! ;)

I saw Suzanne on Oprah the other day and I also thought she looked terrible. You know, the first 3 seasons on Three's Company, she looked great, in season 4 she looked terrible. Too much plastic surgery looks unnatural. Joyce DeWitt and Priscilla Barnes look more natural for their ages.

While we are on the topic of babes who look good as older women, I would like to tell you guys about some of my favorites and other pages in which I have posted messages about them. Three of the ones that I like are Christine Baranski, Blythe Danner and Cynthia Harris. However, my all-time favorite is Hazel Shermet! I was twelve when I developed a crush on her and she was then a couple of years older than Suzzane Somors is now. She appeaed on two episode of "Facts of Life" and three epiosdes of "Gimme a Break!" I thought she has hot stuff! I do not know if she had medical technology similar to Suzanne or if she simply aged nicely. Over on "Youtube" there is an intereview by her that was conducted in year 2000. She was eighty years old at the time and I thought that she was nothing to sneeze at then! Because this seems to be a topic of interest, I am pulling up a bunch of threads on different pages about this subject. I have already brought up one from the "Gimme a Break!" page. I plan on doing a bunch more before the night is over!

Not only did she start to look less attractive in Season 4, Chrissy also became dumber than a box of rocks. Coincidence?

I thought Suzanne looked better on Oprah than she had two or three years ago but she doesn't look near as good as she did during her Step by Step years. I thought she looked better on that show than she ever did on Three's Company.

I can't believe she takes 60 supplement pills a day and hormones once a day. Did she ever address the cost of all that? I wouldn't think the average woman could go to the expense of all those hormones and supplements.

Just in case you do not know, today is the day that Jennifer Aniston turned forty! A while back I responded to this thread comparing Suzanne Somers to other babes who look good as older women. Each one is different in terms of whether it is cloths, makeup surgery, good fortune or a combination of any two or more of the above that helps her maintain her youthful appearance. The first time I saw Hazel Shermet, she was in her early sixties. In my opinion, on the scene from "Gimme a Break!" in which she appeared, she did not look a day over forty! Well, over on the "Friends" page of this site, someone started a thread wishing Jennifer a happy birthday. Several people including me have responded to this thread. Someone said that he or she thinks that she still looks like she is in her late twenties! Just in case anyone is wondering, the pages of this site in which I have written about other chicks who look hot in their later years are Gimme a Break!, Facts of Life, the Brady Bunch, Mad About You and Will and Grace.

In between the last time that I posted on this thread and the present moment, Florance Henderson (Mrs. Brady) turned seventy-five years old. Several people, including myself have pointed out how the years have been good to her. I thought that, because of this, there might be a renewed interest in good looking older woman. Because of this, I have brought up old threads on this topic on the pages of Will and Grace, The Facts of Life, Gimme a Break!, and Friends. I have also started one on the "Mad About You" page called "My Friend Flroance". I would be very interested in what anyone here thinks of it!

Suzanne is absolutely crazy. It's incredibly obviousl Priscilla Barnes should've been the 3rd roomate the entire time with Jenilee Harrison coming in from time to time for different storylines.

This is the second thread that I am updating on this board this morning. The first was on the "Will and Grace" page. They were both inspired by a new post that I saw on the page of "Cheers". It seems that Kirstie Alley just had her fifty-fourth birthday! Happy birthday to her! It seems that, as the population continues to age, there are more and more posts about babes getting on in years. I have decided to make a new tradition out of this situation. Whenever there is a post about a chick having any birthday over forty, I will go though the board and pull up a bunch of old threads regarding older babes that have already been mentioned. In this case, Suzanne Somers in the lady in question!
