Although we may not have everything exactly as The Jetsons predicted in the 1960’s, we can see there are strong similarities between what the creators of the cartoon thought may exist and what is available for us today. For your enjoyment, I have taken it upon myself to implore 10 formerly “outlandish” ideas and cite their modern contemporaries.

I'm really disappointed that when 2000 hit we weren't as advanced as the Jetsons : (

I suppose it probably hurt that we weren't as advanced as the Flintstones during the Stone Age ; )

I'm still waiting for a flying car!! And while I'm at it I'd love to have a food-a-rac-a cycle in my kitchen.

The only things that I see that were influenced by the Jetsons were large screen TVs, portable TVs, and audio discs.

Great article.

Has anyone shown that to the Big Cartoon Forum? (Sorry that I mention another forum site, but I am a member there too).
