Did any family member or friend ever get on your case for watching "Gilligan's Island"? My late mom sort of went ballistic when my young brother-who, this was back in 1982, was 4-brought it up, and my mom tried lecturing me about GI being for minds of a 3 year old child and she said I was not such a person. I'm sure the show wasn't intended to make people go "duhhhh".

Nobody ever really got on my back, but people who I knew who didnt like the show, would tell me how stupid Gilligans Island was. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

Nobody in my family liked that show. I used to try to talk about it but other family members either never watched it or hated it.

I was alone in my GI fandom. THe kids on the block weren't allowed to watch TV other than public broadcasting.

I thought that I was the only person on earth that realized how great this show was.
