The Big Bang Theory just continues to amaze in the ratings. Up against a new episode of House which did almost 16 million viewers, and a new The Bachelor which did over 10 million viewers, The Big Bang Theory got an all time high of 9.21 million viewers, and a 3.3 18-49 demo rating for a repeat episode. In fact, 82% of its audience from its last new episode returned this week to see a repeat, and up against all new programming on the other networks.

These numbers are almost as high as the season debut this season, and is well over the last year's average of 8.3 million viewers for new episodes. It is incredible how well this show has held up. Next week, it will have to face the Super Bowl hyped, 3D Chuck episode. So we shall see.

By the way, it also beat How I Met Your Mother by a whopping 1.2 million viewers this week. Simply amazing.

That's fantastic - BBT is on top of its game this season. And it really did kill HIMYM in the ratings. Even though both were repeats, BBT outrate it in both viewers and the demo. That obviously goes to show that BBT has much better replay value.

I love both TBBT and HIMYM so I'm glad they're doing so well. These are the only two current shows I watch in prime time on the networks.
