Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane decided against featuring a cameo appearance from Britney Spears in the hit show - because he feared retaliation from rival cartoon series South Park.

Spears was mocked for her personal problems in an episode of South Park last year, while McFarlane's hit show also took a battering.

The pop singer reportedly offered to lend her voice to a retaliatory installment of Family Guy, but the creator subsequently scrapped the idea - because he didn't want to start an onscreen battle with South Park writers Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

McFarlane says, "That would do more harm than good. (It) would take too much work."

Seth doesn't have to fight back. He's the highest paid producer on TV right now. Family Guy is more popular than ever.
The Simpsons and South Park took shots at Family Guy because they're jealous.
The Simpsons were FOX's golden child, now Family Guy has that spot.
South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stoner have always thought they were the most brilliant people ever to work on TV, and everything else sucks.
Sorry guys, not everyone agrees with you.

Sorry I never did care for South Park. I watched it a few times on TV but I did not think it was that good. I even had a couple of the seasons sets of South Park on DVD but I ended up selling them on ebay years ago.
Family Guy is the best animated show ever in my opinion. There's not a single episode of Family Guy that does not fail to make me laugh.
