Hey, that's the day after my birthday :D Do you think they'll ever release the complete series boxset?

I'm looking forward to this. :) I've only seen "Wingless" once, I think. From what I remember, it was good. Plus I love "Final Approach." I kind of hope they do a complete series, b/c I think we really got screwed when it comes to extras. I'm sure they could get SOMEONE from the cast to participate.

I'm not made of money, but I would buy the Complete Series set in a heartbeat. We need a bonus disc with cast interviews and stuff.

Also, I haven't seen every single episode of season eight. So I will finally be able to watch all the episodes of this classic show. I had a celebration yesterday, having a mini marathon. :)

Here is the artwork for the final season. They do mention that a complete series will also be released the same day, but it is only all the seasons wrapped together with no extras or anything along those lines. Hopefully they will put something like that together down the line so we can see blooper reals and such.

I'm both looking forward to and disappointed that the last season of "Wings" will be released soon. Love the box art, though everyone got haircuts, this was the sitcom cast with the best hair (excluding Roy's oil-soaked hair, only added to his sleazy charm).

I'm likely going to pre-order it for a better price.

Thanks for posting the cover art!

Allison :-)

Was just poking around on Amazon and, as usual when I stop in there, I did a search on Wings and was happy to see "the end" was finally available for pre-order. Had to come straight in here to jump -- and whine -- a little; I knew there'd be a topic on it already.

Yeah, this is bittersweet. I'm glad to be completing this set I have worked my way through so/too many times, but the fact that I'll not see more new ones -- and the fact that we didn't get ONE BIT of extra material -- is just a big fat bummer. Come on. Not one tiny gag reel? With this crew there had to be more than enough material for that sort of thing! I stayed optimistic about that possibility even with the lack of forethought and concern for quality so obvious in the production of what we already have (poor/inconsistent audio, color, etc.)... They knew they had eight seasons to put out, but they're all packaged a bit differently, all the discs start or play a bit differently... which season is it where they don't have the "play all" option, Season 4?

Oh poo. (I've been saying that for years because of Fay -- swear it!)

You know what really bothers me about the DVD covers is that not once do they have Fay and Roy on the front. Heck, they even stuck Antonio on the first one and he was only on one episode the first two seasons.

If I were David or Rebecca, I'd be very insulted.
