I'm sure [I]some of you have been keeping up with the Adam Herrman missing persons case. If not, here's a link: http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/01/05/kansas.boy.missing/ I find it incredibly strange and suspect that his foster parents didn't report him missing immediately and that the case has lingered (unknown to authorities) for a decade. I haven't read all the recent links out there, but apparently the hunt for Adam Herrman continues. Lets hope he'll be found!

I thought I remembered reading that his "parents" were facing murder charges in his disappearance or that their was the possiblity that they would face those charges.
I went looking for that article and found it here: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,480428,00.html
A quote from that article: A county prosecutor says the adoptive parents of an 11-year-old boy who has been missing for nearly a decade are suspects in his disappearance and could face murder charges.
Butler County Attorney Jan Satterfield says no human remains have been found in the search for Adam Herrman, but there's still a chance for first-degree murder charges, with the underlying crime being child abuse.
------
BTW, Adam's birth father is still alive and stated that he thought giving up custody of his children to have them adopted out would be in their best interest, that if he had kept Adam, "this never would have happened."
How heartbreaking for the father who loved his son enough to give him up to a better home, only to find out that home had (suspected) murderers as the parents!

Yeah, it's certainly suspicious that the parents didn't report him missing immediately let alone at some point during those 10 years he wasn't heard from. They claimed he ran away a lot and if this is true, it's certainly understandable if these allegations of abuse are proven. I still maintain hope that Adam Herrman is alive and out there, but yes, after such a long period of time, it does seem bleak.
Thanks for the link to the article!

As much as I'd like to believe he ran away and escaped to a better life, I believe they killed him. Meghan from CP harbors a particular hatred for the parents and I can understand why. In fact, I can't think of any person associated with a CP case she hates more, with the possible exception of the old guy in Hawaii who owned the ancient dam that flooded, killing 8 people.
