Sara Gilbert was added as a series regular earlier this season, and has only appeared in two or three episodes. Her name has also been removed from the opening credits. Will she only be credited in the episodes she appears in? When is her next episode? Does anyone know what happened? WHERE IS LESLIE WINKLE?

I was wondering about that too. That new guy Barry, isn't taking her place is he?

No, Barry Kripke will not be in the next episode. I think Sara Gilbert will be back at some point.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Not that I miss her or anything, but I thought she was going to be a regular this year.

She is listed as a regular in the press release put out for each new episode. I think she will reappear at some point.

She's a semi-regular, not a regular. Just meaning they can use her whenever, and doesn't have to be in every episode. Frankly, I think her meaness this season killed the character. It wasn't funny.

No, she is listed as a regular in every press release. Why they do not use her, I have no idea. Here is the latest press release for the next episode :

i think they arre just listing her as a regular because of the recognizability of her name...

after what happened between Leslie and Leonard i think they are just giving her character a break for awhile - Leonard probably still feels hurt about it and it would be reasonable for them to make some effort to avoid each other for awhile.

I'd like to see more Leslie as well, but I think they got a good thing going - they stopped focusing mainly on Sheldon this season, but on the entire cast. I think that's why this season has been such an improvement in quality over last season.

But, she's just a semi-regular, like someone said, her name is recognizable - whenever she's in an episode, her name will be in the opening credits. But, that also doesn't mean she has to be in every episode.

Well, we now know why Sara Gilbert hasn't been on for a bunch of episodes - she was taken off contract, but will remain on the show with a recurring status. I think it's for the best.

Where'd you hear that? I wonder why she was taken off her contract so abruptly like that. I don't mind her as just a recurring character, but that should still mean a few more episodes than she's been on.
