Wow!! what an excellent episode! Well written and well acted. When the kids are in a constant state of tattling (foreshadowing Cindy Brady perhaps?), Jim has had it and put the kids to a test. Each of them wants money for a special item, but to earn it, they have to go one week without tattling on anyone for anything. He places a $10 bill in the living room desk drawer. Suddenly, each of the kids has gotten their special item, but how? Jim looks to see the $10 bill gone and demands that the thief confess before the night is over. Both Betty and Bud confess (separately) to the crime, which leads Jim to be confused and worried over what his kids have done to get their items. Meanwhile, Margaret has been kept in the dark over all this and is getting upset that Jim won't confide in her over his worries.

I knew she did it, LOL. He should have told in the beginning what he was going to do.

Oh I figured it out very early myself, but it still made for a good suspenseful episode because of Jim's moral dilemma.
