Someone may have noticed this before, but in Vegas Vacation, as the Griswold's were going to see Wayne Newton, Officer Hoppy (Howard Platt) was the Maitre'De. Clark asks for good seats and deposits a handfull of slot machine tokens into Hoppy's hand. Hoppy responds "just keep it, no gratuity necessary!" His part was just a cameo, barely showing his face straight-on, but that voice and profile is unmistakable! Howard's credits are impressive as he is still kickin' @ age 71. He appeared in "The Lucky Ones" with Tim Robbins which was released in October of 2008. GO HOPPY!!!
