Cheryl and Larry David may be split up on Curb Your Enthusiasm, but she's not out of his life yet.

Cheryl Hines, who plays Cheryl David, will be back on the show next season, even though last season's finale ended with Larry living in apparent bliss with Loretta Black (Vivica A. Fox).

"Listen, Larry will always love me," Hines joked in a panel discussion about her new ABC sitcom, In the Motherhood. But she was serious about confirming her return to the HBO show: "I don't know if I'm supposed to say that, only because of the story."

The Davids on the show split up around the same time David split from his real-life wife, activist Laurie David.

Hines is shooting Curb and Motherhood at the same time. The new Curb season is already underway — though no air date has been set.

"Working with Larry, there's an ease to it because we get along personally and we sort of have a truth-speaking language that we have with each other," Hines said.

In Motherhood, Hines stars with longtime friend Megan Mullally and Horatio Sanz, who plays Hines' male nanny. No air date has been set.

I read that on TVGUIDE too and am SO excited!

I've always thought that Cheryl's character, while not the funniest, sets up a lot of the funny things that occur. She sets up the joke while Larry gets the 'punch-line'.

I'm really happy Larry decided not to write her out of the show.

Vivica A. Fox will be returning this season also, for at least 2 episodes, so I guess we'll see how they mix Cheryl's return with Vivica's leaving (I assume she will be leaving?)
