New York - CBS (NYSE: CBS) Interactive announced on Monday that it has signed deals with MGM, Showtime, Sony Pictures Television, PBS and Endemol USA to expand the range of TV episodes available for free streaming on its TV.com website.
The deal includes episodes of shows including "Dexter" and "Bewitched."
The new additions will make for a total of some 38,000 episodes from 19,000 TV shows available on TV.com.
CBS is looking to make TV.com more of a competitor to Hulu, the ad-supported video site launched by News Corp. and NBC Universal, and the recently launched Sling.com.
CBS acquired TV.com as part of its $1.8 billion purchase of CNET Networks last year.
