Mary mentioned awhile back that she was writing a new book, and for the heck of it just now, I looked to see if it was on Amazon yet. It is! It comes out right before my bday, so I might just let someone buy it for me.

I had thought maybe Fox would release S5 around the time the book comes out (to take advantage of all the press Mary will already be doing), but that doesn't seem likely. They prob. would've announced it by now if they were going to do it then. But who knows?

Thanks! Yeah, if she comes to the NY/NJ area, I def. want to go! Knowing me, though, I'd stand in line for an autograph, wait my turn, and then when she asked my name, I'd be like, "Ummm...." LOL. I've met Valerie before, and although she's a total sweetheart, I was nervous meeting her. I can't even imagine what it would be like to meet Mary!

I like the pic too. If she doesn't come to Boston, I might have to travel down to New York, as it may be my only chance to meet her.

I've never been to a book signing, but I assume it's easier to get a pleasant 20-30 seconds there than just a chance meeting out in public, because after all, you're buying the celebrity's book. Whereas, out and about town, the celeb might not be in the mood (and oftentimes quite understandably).

I'd probably make sure to say two things: "It's an honor to meet you,'' and "Thanks for all the great entertainment on Saturday nights on my favorite show of all time, TMTMS, and also on TDVDS. You were wonderful."

I assume it'd be pushing it to get a handshake, but I don't know the rules.

Great news! I read that Mary was releasing this book in Publishers Weekly probably two years ago. I know she mentioned it when she was on Oprah so I'm glad to see this finally coming out, and right around my birthday, too!!!

That way I'd at least know she knew I existed. It wouldn't be the same as meeting her, but I could live vicariously through your story. LOL

btw, there's only about two weeks left in january, and that leaves only one month before march 1, which was the date i was gonna start asking around about TMTMS Season 5...i can't believe it's been so long and we haven't heard anything!

well, through february will be six months...i figure i should give them at least that amount of time (the announcement was right at the end of august, i think)...so very late february early march
